How hard would it be to code up a functional Tumblr clone? It doesnât have to be pretty (fewer visual bells and whistles would probably be a plus, better for the slow computers out there) but just the same degree of customization, the same methods of interaction, et al.Â
I knew this day was coming from the moment that Tumblr was bought out by Verizon. If Tumblrâs going to stop fighting for Net Neutrality and start censoring LGBT+ content by default, itâs time to build our own.

Is there a free and course i can take if i want to get into game developing, backend developing and machine learning? Preferably not a video or audio one. I tried reading headfirst programming but i haven't had success understanding ANYTHING and i'm not even sure that's up to date. Something like "programming for dummies", you know?
If you guys know any free courses, pirated or free books, or apoen blogs i'd really appreciate it. Have a great day!!
I want to get a localized (not âformattedâ, âlocalizedâ â see below) medium-length string for the current date using only the default POSIX command line and the tools included by default with Mac OS X.
I already know how to get the date, how to print the date with a specified format, and all the usual stuff. But different locales have different ideas of how a written date should look â even just considering dates written in English, some places (the US being one of them) write the date as (for example) âNovember 3, 2021â, whereas other places write it as â3 November 2021â. And, of course, other languages have their own words for the month so neither one of those would be right in, e.g., French, and the comma is sometimes optional, etc. etc. etc. I want to have my script use whatever is normal in the language and region the user has set. I would prefer a string without the day of the week, but Iâd accept it if thatâs all I can get. (I would also accept a way to get a format string which can be fed to something.)
Iâve been searching sites like StackOverflow for a while, and I understand that Java can do something like this, but Java no longer comes with the Mac by default and in any case I donât want to have to compile a program to get this. I can probably (I havenât tried) get the localized month name from Python. (It certainly has a function which can do this, but Iâm not certain how easy it is to force it to use the default locale â apparently it defaults to English). Perl has modules which can probably do it, but they arenât installed by default.
I looked up the name of a Linkin Park song (H! Vltg3), only for my browser to be redirected to a programming website attempting to find a result for "Vltg3." It redirected even if I just typed "H!"
Science / programming side of Tumblr, please explain

Document is initiated when the DOM tree exists, this would be ran before you would see CSS, images or another resources. Window however is when you have everything loaded up on the page. As long as all the elements are loaded the window will load. Remember you don't see the window until it's all loaded
Inline styles may be nice for testing, making sure everything works correctly. However that style should be set to the object you are attaching the style to should be in its own designated file and it should be attached to either an ID, class or some kind of tag. Relying on using tags in CSS files however are dangerous. Unless you are doing just that one thing ever but in a big application, it's bound to override something you don't want it to
Hello, im only 13 years old. I want to be programmer and learn programming slowly. My first question, am i ideal for to be programmer? I have passion to computers and software. Second, is it too early? I waiting your answer, thanks.
IT IS NEVER TOO EARLY TO START! Honestly, if your interested in programming just start now. Programming is a lot of about building experience, so start as soon as possible. I always wish that I had started programming sooner.Â
Second, I donât think that there is an âidealâ programmer. You need to forget the stereotype that programming is only for computer nerds or whatever. The thing about programming is that it has so many applications. So almost everyone can be a programmer. If you want to program and do things with code, then you are an ideal programmer.Â
My advice is, you wonât know if programming is for you or not until you start programming. If you enjoy it, then great! If you donât enjoy, then you can decide to stop. Â Either way, you wonât know unless you start.Â
