Entry 1: Catch up
For the past two weeks I've been learning Python and I've been really enjoying it. I've completed the Learn Python 3 course on Codecademy and have been using various Youtube tutorials, as of right now I can confidently work with:
Basic syntax
Boolean operators
If, elif, else statements
while and for loops
Lists, tuples, and dictionaries
Functions
Modules
Files
Technically, classes should be on this list but it makes no sense and I hate it...

hey i'm sure you've received loads of asks on your setting up your day post already but seeing how you are also a dev (i currently do full stack stuff, lots of it in AWs also i have ADD) i thought i'd ask: how do you deal with sudden things coming up? whenever there's a bug or something going wrong that's not nearly as important as what i'm currently working on i always end up instantly zooming on that anyway and then by the time ive fixed it i find it so hard to get back to what i was doing
Hey! So I'm totally not ignoring you, even though it totally looks like it. The short answer to your question is "Badly. I handle it badly." The long answer is ... OK. So you know how sometimes you're trying to code something, and you realize that your code is turning into spaghetti because this really is multiple tasks, so you break it out into functions? But it turns out that a couple of those functions are also spaghetti, because actually they're multiple functions also? And before you know it, it turns out the best way to write this code is to just write a new library, and then the code you were actually trying to write at the start will be like 3 lines?
...
Yeah, so that's what happened with my answer. So rather than try to write a sensible 7000-word post with multiple tangents and indentations and whatever, I'm turning it into several separate posts. The first of which is here: [x] But also I totally understand if you just want to wait for the one that actually answers your question, which I promise I will get to. At some point. 😓 I hope your development is going well in the meantime!
