Opposite Poles, Equal Partners by ProfessorSpork
The thing about parallel lines is, they never actually meet. She's kind of banking on that, to be honest. An examination of unrequited Faberry; the very start of season 1. One-shot.

Fic rec! 6K She-Ra
Summary: In her mindās eye, the Horde insignia remains emblazoned on her back: jagged, scabbed-over crimson lines permanently carving Hordakās wings into her shoulder blades in Catraās uneven handwriting. The proof of Adora's identity spelled out violently across her skin.
In the mirror, thereās absolutely nothing there.
Comments: I love the angst in this. How She-raās healing serves as a sort of self-gaslighting, and Adora stuggles with the lack of connection with her own combat history. How itās still Catra she opens up the most too, even as Catra keeps her claws extended. So much to love, if you love pain.
blek PLS?
Happy birthday @professorspork!
listened to the cast album again last night and the thing about Habeestown is that on the one hand yes OBVIOUSLY Blake is Eurydice, the runaway from everywhere she's ever been. But. But!! Act 2!!? Come Home With Me (Reprise)?? Has there ever been a line more Blake than Orpheus' "whatever happened, I'm to blame;" has there ever been a feel more Yang than the way Eurydice's voice breaks with wonder and forgiveness at "you came" I THINK NOT. (also accidentally unionizing hell is a v Blake move)
oohohohohhoho thank you for sending me a habeestown ask!!!! i actually agree with all of this!!! it's just,,, a lot of the themes in hadestown reflect on both of the bees in really interesting ways, just as you've identified here. this is why habeestown has such a choke-hold on me! i cannot escape!!!

Well obviously I gotta know about Motherās Scarf
Motherās Scarf was exploring, through Anna and/or Elsa, where I totally felt Frozen 2 was gonna go, in that there was, in fact, remnants of Idunaās family left among the Northuldra.
The line is āThis is from one of our oldest familiesā. Is. Present tense.
It would have breached the misunderstanding of how language is used by the Northuldra vs Arendwellers. The Northuldra use the present tense because their memory is a living thing even though people may have long since passed. (āDead doesnāt mean goneā) Collective storytelling and memory lives on in the tribe. Maybe Idunaās family survived the attack by King Runeard and passed on sometime in the 35 years the Northuldra lived behind the mist.
