i don't know if you've ever been asked this, but which game do you like drawing for the most? Scarlet Hollow or Slay The Princess?
I'm absolutely in love with your STP designs, and I've been studying it for weeks :3
Aw, thank you!! I had sooo much fun designing Princess forms, I could gladly do it all day honestly. It's like designing digivolutions...
As for which is my favorite, I love all my children equally. They both bring different things to the table, and I found I usually missed working on one while working on the other!
Scarlet Hollow has:
• Characters and backgrounds that are rooted in reality, so I can do my favorite thing of adding 10,000 little details to backgrounds and outfits to help reveal more about who they are, as well as adding easter eggs for Hollow-heads to hunt for. It's so satisfying when they find one of the little clues I hid for them :3c
• I feel very connected to the characters, who are like my friends.
• It's all in pen and ink, which is my favorite medium by a country mile. Pencils are fun and fast, but are a little stressful considering the smudging that can happen. It also gets my hands covered in graphite, so I'm constantly washing my hands, which get all dry and crackly as a result. I don't like to get messy... I do not like to use messy tools....
While Slay the Princess has:
• More opportunities for dynamic art, which is the really big exciting one for me. The player and Princess are constantly doing things, interacting, changing position, which leads to really interesting comic-style posing and blocking.
• More opportunities for drawing horrific things, since the player can die. This was the other major fun bit of working on Slay the Princess. I could really go ham on the body horror! Which ties into the other major difference/benefit to StP:
• I can draw the player character interacting with the world, which was a big relief compared to the un-bodied player in Scarlet Hollow. It is definitely tricky to draw a lot of things from a first-person PoV, but at least I didn't have to juggle that AND work around the fact that you can never see your body.
These were my first and current Lobo concepts for my fic verse when I started to write it a little over a year ago. my concept process and thoughts are below keep reading!
just had a very healing moment of clarity that
yeah the gods I worship are there, like Loki is there for outcasts or misunderstood people, and because I do worship them and thank them they are there for me.
Reaching out to other deities is such a stark contrast of worshipping in christianity, but it’s also similar. When you look at what was done was a selfless sacrifice (when you look at this in traditional christianity this is very contradictory but from my perspective the old testament god and the new testament god are two very different beings), wanting a relationship; but that’s where it stops. With christianity there is so much you aren’t worthy of, deserving of, you are so imperfect and unclean that there is no way of even coming close to earning it, no matter how much you give. With christianity there is also so much emphasis on death of self, you are not allowed to enjoy this life because self care and taking time for yourself is selfish and taking away from time spent ‘in the faith’, time that could be better spent praying and studying the bible. that doesn’t get you anywhere. that just leads to stagnancy.
Faith can evolve in christianity only so far, in polytheism you can ask the same billion questions and you will get some sort of answer, in christianity. no questions. no questioning anything, unless it’s a GOOD and SAFE question about the bible or faith, only those questions you can ask. nothing else. you will get ignored. you will get judged. you will get pushed away.
and the fact that with paganism you are actively encouraged to do research and ask questions and form your own relationship with your deities, is just so! it’s so euphoric and different and amazing!
That is your special being you keep in contact with, who you can set mutual boundaries with, who you can have any kind of dynamic that feels right to you. It’s amazing and so so healing.
That’s kind of all I had to process for now, there absolutely will be more to come though. Thanks for taking the time to read
Blessed Be everyone 💚

🔮 Witchy Cauldron - Work in Progress 🔮
Brewing up some magic in the studio! ✨ Here's a peek behind the curtain of my colouring process as this mystical cauldron comes to life.
The Journey: Started with clean line work and slowly built up the colour palette - deep purples for that otherworldly smoke, vibrant orange roses for warmth against the dark cauldron, and thorny green vines to balance the composition. There's something so satisfying about watching a black and white design transform into something that feels like it could bubble right off the page.
Design Details:
Style: Neo-traditional with bold lines and rich colour blocking
Theme: Witchy occult meets botanical abundance
Colour palette: Deep purples, warm oranges, forest greens with gold accents
Intended placement: This baby would look incredible as a larger piece - thigh, back, or even a bold forearm statement
The magic is in the details - those swirling smoke tendrils, the delicate filigree on the cauldron, the way the roses seem to grow organically around the skull. Every element needs to work together to create that perfect mystical vibe.
Process Notes: Colour theory is everything in tattoo design. The complementary orange and purple create that visual pop, while the green grounds everything and adds that natural witchy garden feel. Building colours in layers helps maintain the bold line work while adding depth and dimension.
Currently building my portfolio as I pursue a tattoo apprenticeship - this piece demonstrates colour harmony, composition balance, and thematic consistency that translates beautifully to skin.
What do you think of the colour choices? Any fellow artists have tips for maintaining colour vibrancy in neo-trad work? Always learning! 🎨

it's time to make a new screenprint!!
I printed this possum gamer positive on two different printers (laser printer on left, inkjet on right) to see which one was darker and it sure LOOKS like the one on the left is the darker one, but when I held 'em both up to the light, the inkjet actually one blocks more light, and that's what you want for screen printing.
Burned the lad onto the screen and then still had a lil space left so I put a bakery dragon there!!!
Halftones is hard. If you look real close you can see where some of the dots got rubbed off when i was cleaning out the emulsion after burning the screen.
I think the final tanks still turned out nice tho :>

Working on a potential project. Don’t have the story even started, but these guys stood up and said, “Me! Me!”
The cat foxes are twins and the big guy is their engineer friendo
The girl with the eyes a new friend of the last three. Are they all cats? They might all be cats
Lastly we have a couple of villainous associates, a warlord and his temper tantrum of an underling.
