"I killed someone." Zasha's hands were shaking as she looked at the blood dripping from them and then up to the moon spirit.
This woman was not the first to come to her with such a confession- indeed she had heard many such things over the decades, some regretful and some not. This woman seemed shaken about the life she had taken. "Was the act justifiable?" the spirit questioned, staring down at her. "Did you take their life in hopes of saving your own, or the life of someone dear to you? Or was it an act carried out in anger, for retribution?" A pause then, icy blue orbs becoming hidden behind her eyelids. "Whatever the reason was for you to take this life, it is not my place to judge. I do not weigh the sins of the living against them- that is not my purpose." That task would fall to another spirit, someday, when the woman died and her spirit went on the try and move on to her next life.
