Asami pushed his door open, not waiting for an invitation. "Tatsuhiro." She smiled as his name left her red lips.

"Change of plans, Tatsuhiro," the demon snarled, allowing his eyes to flicker from dull honey to peircing crimson. His teeth grew and sharpened to beastly points, and his nails formed into equally sharp talons-- puncturing the leather fingers of his gloves. "I'm denying your hit." Mako's voice was low and menacing, dripping with malice.

There was a knock at Tatsu's door.

It figured- in the back of her mind she knew what sorts of things the man was thinking up. She bit the inside of her cheek, giving a stiff nod. "Understood." Turning on her heel she strode from his office and to her own room, resting against the door once she was inside and it was closed and letting out a breath she hadn't even known she was holding. She felt as though she needed about three bottles of liquor at that point.

Even as he let go and walked back to his desk Mei's body remained tensed, her eyes watching him carefully. Just because he walked away didn't mean he wouldn't lash out again. She shouldn't have had to re-establish her respect- truth be told she held little for the man and in her mind every day she went without trying to kill him was enough. "Was there something else you had in mind?" she dared to ask.

Compliments were far less endearing in a situation like this she found. As he stood and walked over to her every muscle in her body tensed, yet when he grabbed her she moved as easily as though she were nothing but a rag doll. His grip was strong on her wrist and caused her to wince. "I didn't- I was lashing out from stress, that's all." What'd he want her to do, kiss the fucking ground he walked on? Not happening. "I'm sorry alright? So let go.."

"Noooo," she whined, looking almost like a kid that'd been told Santa wasn't real. "C'mon that's just cruel punishment. A-and how am I supposed to plan the counter strike when you've got me playing nanny to a bunch of punks? C'mon Tatsuhiro, gimme a break here!"
