I'm at my kitchen table on my laptop, anxiety's being real bad and I was starting to freak out, then my pup started barking at me in that "pick me up, human" way, and she tucked herself in my arms against my chest. She maybe felt my heart hammering out of my chest, maybe not, but she curled up with me and fell asleep. I can feel her little heartbeat against my arm and the gentle rise and fall of her breathing, and like,,, I feel so calm now. I love her, she always seems to know how to help me.
