Anti-s pretending they are oppressed by canon, starting drama and false narratives, ignoring what SJM says, thinks, or writes, and hating every good main character instead of just leaving the fandom and leaving us in peace.
The hate Feysand gets will never not be funny to me cause what did y'all expect?? The book acosf was from Nesta's pov. Of course, Rhysand wasn't going to come off looking great. Did you all expect her to describe Rhys as a perfect and sparkly High Lord? People forget that Feyre's pov is where we see the real Rhys- the one who is kind, traumatized and literally worships the ground Feyre's little feet walk on. Feyre even tells Rhys a multiple of times that she sees him, the REAL him. Everyone read Nesta's pov and went :" Yep this is the real Rhys." Be for real now. Nesta's pov is not gospel. People love to say that Feyre is an unreliable narrator when newsflash guys: everyone in this series is unreliable. Every character involved in this world filters through their own trauma, biases, friends, enemies, and emotional baggage. That's kind of the point.
A rant for Cassian because I want to
(And I’m going to put his friendship and love of Feyre aside for this post because this is meant to be about him and Rhysand.)
Every time I see people criticize Cassian for refusing to enable his mate’s toxic behaviors or for choosing to understand Rhysand’s situation and feelings, I can’t help but wonder…what exactly did they expect from him?
Cassian saw Rhys lose his mother, his father, his sister—and still find the strength to care for his people and dream of a better future for them all. He saw his brother disappear for fifty years, knowing he had to be enduring unimaginable torture just to protect his family. He saw his brother die. He watched him sacrifice everything to save the world and give his family a chance at a good life, even if that meant they’d have to live it without him.
After all that suffering, Cassian finally got to witness Rhys find happiness—he was going to have a love more beautiful than any other, to become a father, to have everything he had fought and bled for. And then he saw it all threatened again. Rhys faced the possibility of losing the love of his life, their unborn child, their hope, their future—everything he and Feyre had fought so hard for.
So yes, if Cassian had a soft spot for the brother who had been there for him in every possible way since the beginning—the brother he’d grown up alongside, who had suffered so much and still managed to give so much of himself to others—I understand that completely. And if he chose not to support someone on their unreasonable hatred toward the people he cared about during a time as fragile as that, I truly can’t blame him.
In fact, I think he did the right thing. Because if someone I was dating disrespected my family—especially during such a sensitive time, and without any logical reason—you can bet I would’ve done much worse than Cassian did. And I say this acknowledging that trauma manifests differently for everyone. But if you only ever focus on your own pain without considering how deeply others are hurting—and on top of that, you make things even harder for them—it will inevitably cost you their presence. No one will stick around forever if they’re constantly being torn down.
Cassian stood by his family during their darkest time and refused to excuse behavior that added more pain. That’s not a failure of loyalty—it’s the truest kind of it. Love isn’t enabling. Love tells you when you’ve made a mistake and when you need to stop, because you’re wrong. At least that’s how it is in my book. And I, for one, will never judge Cassian or anyone else for that.
I love Nesta. No, I don’t hate Rhys.
I prefer Elucien. No, I don’t hate Elain
I prefer Gwynriel. No, I still don’t hate Elain.
I love Nessian. No, I don’t hate Nesta.
I don’t like Neris. No, I don’t hate Eris.
I love the Valkyries. No, I don’t hate the IC.
I love Lucien. No, I don’t hate Azriel.
Loving a character/ship doesn’t mean that you hate the other.

Something very telling about how Nesta stans / pro Nestas are the first to yell "MISOGYNY!!" and go "if she was a man y'all would love her" when you say you don't like her bcs news flash she is a spiteful mean hateful character who exhibits the same behavioural patterns a narcissitic abuser would and then turn around to hate on Feyre, Amren and Mor, sometimes even Elain, all of who are female characters btw, and Rhys, who, canonically, actually actively works to empower the women / females of his court / land, stop oppression of females under his rule and built a sanctuary for women with severe trauma to give them a safe space to call their own and know no one will violate or harm them there, then turn around and say Nesta should've ended up with Eris, who looked at Nesta like an object, treated her like one by not asking her for her hand in marriage but by going to Rhys and trying to buy her, but sure when we call out Nesta on her bs we are misogynists. I'm afraid the call is coming from inside the house 💀🙏🏻
if you spend your time making art of throwing darts at the main male character of a series, and scream about how you hate him and all of the other main characters, you’ve gotta wrap it the fuck up and just throw the books out. you don’t like the series. that’s fine. but stop trying to make those of us who actually like these people more miserable by sucking the life out of any and every comment section of every pro IC post. just simply fuck off to another book.
the biggest loser behavior i have ever seen in my life is that debate sub. you people should not be reading a series that makes you this angry. go to a therapist or some shit and work that out behind closed doors.
