Created for the third season of 𝑳𝒐𝒔𝒕 𝒊𝒏 𝑺𝒑𝒂𝒄𝒆, this distinctive, colorful mod-style dress was first worn by Angela Cartwright as Penny Robinson. Designed by art director Paul Zastupnevich and made by Western Costume Co., it was part of the show's bold visual identity. Zastupnevich intentionally assigned each main character a signature color, believing bright primary hues would appeal to younger viewers and make each character instantly recognizable. He even gave the colors imaginative names, including "meteor red," "comet green," "solar yellow," "asteroid green," "orbital purple," and "jet pink."   While many of the show's surviving costumes have since been sold into private collections, this dress appears to have remained at a costume house. More than 55 years after its debut, it was pulled from the rack once again and worn by Cailee Spaeny as Priscilla Presley in Sofia Coppola's 2023 film 𝑷𝒓𝒊𝒔𝒄𝒊𝒍𝒍𝒂.   See more photos and the full costume history here: Bit.ly/PostEd261
