Dragon’s Lair - 1984 Complete Series (13 Episodes) - 2011 Warner Archive 2 DVD-R set   It was recently announced that Ryan Reynolds, Don Bluth and Netflix are teaming up for a live-action Dragon’s Lair movie based on the 1983 Laserdisc Arcade Game. But back in 1984, Ruby Spears gave us a 13 episode Saturday Morning Cartoon series. The first episode gives us some familiar scenarios from the game, and several villains and monsters from the game show up, but for the most part these are new adventures. To mimic the game the viewer is often shown 2 failed ideas of Dirk’s before showing how Dirk solves a problem. And to reduce violence when Dirk’s sword swings through a fiend, like a gator, the fiend turns into mist. Dirk and Daphne from Dragon's Lair New Style . È tempo di cambiamenti... in questo periodo, in cui sto realizzando parecchi videogames, ho deciso di effettuare dei leggeri cambi di stile per rinnovare un po' i miei personaggi, per provare qualcosa di nuovo e a dir la verità, per disegnare al meglio personaggi con delle caratteristiche poco riproducibili con il mio vecchio stile. Dirk e Daphne sono i primi che vi mostro. La base resta sempre la stessa, ho deciso di ingrandire i piedi, iniziare a differenziare un po' di più gli occhi e la forma delle teste dei personaggi, per ultimo aumentare i dettagli delle mani e sfinare i corpi nei soggetti femminili. Non sono caratteristiche definitive, ma credo di voler continuare a procedere in questa direzione.
