Rise of the Guardians is such a weird movie for how hard it goes on Christmas and Easter without ever acknowledging Christianity or paganism - or, given the Easter Bunny and Father Christmas' rivalry, that for a really long time in Europe Easter was more important than Christmas (particularly in Orthodox Christianity which, given his Russian accent, the "North" version of Father Christmas should be tied to). Like, Christmas was just the origin story, Easter was the showdown with the forces of darkness and the victory. But that only makes sense if you think of it as a religious festival about Jesus and sacrifice and redemption, not as a seasonal festival about springtime and renewal and hope.
Not to mention an Australian Easter Bunny declaring that it's going to be springtime on every continent, when in Australia, which last time I checked very much was a continent, it's celebrated in autumn, because it has to be. That's just crackers.
There are so many layers of Christian hegemony and, uh, Northern-hemisphere-centrism there, without a jot nor a tittle of self-awareness!

Mr. Schow: As many of you know, 41 seats in this Chamber are considered to be rural Alberta seats, seats that are representing areas that are not part of our major city centres, you know, places where agriculture is our main economic driver and where people toil outside for hours at a time. They’re the kind of people who shower after work, not before work.
The one thing I don’t buy about void elves, is that they somehow forgot about hair dye and tanning
