Summary: What I think about popular JJK ships (my opinion! (I am definetely not rating problematic ships even though one of them is the most popular ranked ship. They are an automatic 0 out of ten) Also this is a filler post while I am making some more fanfics for the future! ALSO I AM NOT HATING ON THESE SHIPS! I RESPECT THEM BUT APPLY MY OWN OPINION ON THEM.

Warnings: Biased opinion !! If you don't like this then scroll please! SOME SPOILERS AS WELL!! READ AT OWN RISK!!

✩°｡ ⋆⸜✮ItaFushi✩°｡ ⋆⸜✮

Rating: 4-5/10

(This is biased since I self-ship romantically with Megumi)

Kinda mid, only platonic.

At least this ship is not problematic like all of the other popular ones so it is passable. Personally though, I see their chemistry as platonic best friends. Yet, I do see the appeal of the ship. Throught the show, they do display a mutual respect for each other by complementing their morals and sense of justice. This behaviour is shown more subtly when they show their mutual moral respect for Nobara; illuding some special closeness.

On a side note, Itadori also has better romantic chemistry and connection with Ozawa as he has known her for more time than he has for Megumi. (SPOILERS)

In the one of the recent manga panels Ozawa and Itadori revel at the beauty of snow (Mahito death reference?!) sharing a mutual compassion and a love for it. Whilst Megumi and Itadori only ever complemented each other platonically to motivate one other to get stronger as Jujutsu Sorcerers. I just don't see any romantic sparks fly between the two, they are just besties.

I see it!

This ship makes sense through subtle canon references and just their personalities in general. Being the only girls out of their year, they got to stick together. Nobara's sense of confidence working together with Maki's unwavering level-headedness creates the (almost) perfect power duo. There are many canon manga panels that show Nobara with Maki working together or hanging out. It makes sense! (SPOILERS) Specifically, in one part of the manga Nobara asks Maki why she became a Jujutsu Sorcerer since she was doubted by her family and cannot see curses, and when Maki provides an answer Nobara smiles (AND BLUSHES) describing that she really respects Maki. This mutual respect for their craft transcends platonic, it is more on a deeper level that one can interpret as "romantic". Even though I do not actively ship this (or ship any JJK characters together) I do see the appeal and why people have reasons to ship this. But, if all of the above evidence can be interpreted as platonic, then I do see that too!

I do get why people ship this… but it is very complicated.

If you are talking about BEFORE Suguru turned evil and got possessed by Kenjaku, then yes this ship is passable. Unlike ItaFushi, they seem like a inseparable power couple. They also have very good chemistry, Satoru being the goofy yet cocky one and Suguru being the head-strong one that sighs at his antics (but secretly enjoys them hehehe). In terms of their practicality with each other, they worked together really well (and that is why they were chosen FOR this whole mission) to protect the star plasma vessel. Even though they failed they tried their best; which evidently shows in their mutual chemistry with each other. Overall, if this ship wasn't doomed and angsty (because of Kenjaku and Geto turning evil) then I would actively ship it as I see it in them.

Rating: 3/10

This is the most irrelevant ship I have ever witnessed (sorry lol)

This ship feels random and irrelevant to me. Between Gojo and Utahime, I feel the chemistry but there is just a lack of screen time with both of them in it so it doesn't convince me. I see them more as acquaintances as shown multiple times in the anime that they only interact at meetings or when they need to. There just isn't anything special between these two that I would call "love". I know why people ship them, because of Gojo's teasing nature and her "tsundere" reactions.

Yet, this bond does not seem to transcend into love because Gojo is teasing and cocky towards everyone, it just hits differently to Utahime because of her reactions. Her reactions amplifying his teasing makes it different to when the other characters are teased by Gojo. That's what it is. I think that this ship has no potential and that Utahime is genuinely pissed at Gojo all the time because he is late to most of the meetings that she happens to be in.

✩°｡ ⋆⸜✮YutaMaki✩°｡ ⋆⸜✮

Rating: 8.5/10

(SPOILERS AHEAD!) Decent, and very canon.

This ship is very canon (because we witness their GRANDCHILDREN in the recent manga modulo). Their dynamic is interesting as Maki first thought of him as being irritating the first time she saw him she thought to herself: "I'll just ignore him". But when their bond progresses it is the mix of annoyed and the unintentionally (stupid) other person (being Yuta). This creates a goofy chemistry that can be interpreted as comedic yet it is still deep. It is deep despite the bonds' goofy nature because they can both learn a lot from each other because of them being each other's weakness's. Maki has trouble in being a little goofy, and Yuta is the opposite of that. They are both very good companions for each other when they are growing as people. And that is why this is canon. (I am talking about before Yuta became traumatised and locked in - there he was goofy).
