you choose to stay silent, your fingers continue pounding at the keyword, the digital SMG spraying everybody in view, including yuji and gojo, not to mention megumi that got forced to join the lobby.

“She’s literally spamming. This is so unfair!!”

“Maybe you're just bad.”

Megumi corrects Yuji with his infamous deadpan tone; he really, really doesn't want to be here.

“Well, I haven't died once! because IM THE STRONGES-”

“SHUT UP GOJO!”

You scream into the mic, slamming a hand on the desk. All that pent up rage is coming out through the game.

just then, you feel a hand gently move your headset away from your ear.

“careful with my keyboard.”

the words are delivered feigned annoyance. though it makes your body lock up, slowing your hand movements to be more careful. You die almost immediately when your hand treats the keyboard like a glass vase.

you just wanted to wear the new miku skin and you didn't have it..but he did so two birds one stone, mhmhm. His room is just like you imagined it tho, LED lights, clothes scattered around all floor, the infamous bag of half eaten hot Cheetos sitting on his bag—it’s definitely stale.

“Toge. let me play how I want to.”

You shoot a glare at him, ignoring the teases and coos from gojo and yuji that pour out of the headset.

“Tuna mayo”

he says simply, taking a Cheeto out of a bag popping it in his mouth. he takes his time chewing while watching you die over and over again before speaking,

“do what you want.”

your hands immediately move to smack him on his head, calming, continuing to spawn kill panda again.

You haven't told anyone yet, about yuta that is. You knew inumaki knew something but he didn't seem to push. but he did seem to have a slight flush on his cheeks when you knocked on his door and asked if you could play on his computer.

“ANDDD YN AND SATORU GOJO WINS AGAIN!!”

gojo celebrates loudly in his mic, emoting some stupid dance beside your character.

“NO FAIR!! megumi wasn't even trying!!”

“I don't want to play Fortnite, yuji.”

“YN KEPT KILLING ME?! I SHOULD BE THE ONE THAT SAYS IT'S UNFAIR!!”

Panda butts in, his voice booming so loud you move to take your headset off completely.

spinning around in toge’s gaming chair, you spot him sitting on his unmade bed, catching his smile at you before he abruptly looks away. very subtle indeed..

Though, before you could tease him for it, your phone vibrates against your thigh. Pausing, you fish your phone out your pocket and glance at the text preview on your lock screen

Yuta: yn im so sorry you saw…

fuck. you almost forgot about him.

“salmon?”

apparently, inumaki had time to see your face fall and walk over to you. his eyes glance at your phone screen before you could hide it. he frowns, then hesitates before he taps the side of your phone to shut it off.

He's quick to turn away and busy himself as if nothing happened. his fingers move across the keyboard, leaving the lobby on his computer. you stand, shove your phone into your pocket and say and quick thank you and bye to inumaki. You didn't want to leave but you also knew you didn't want to explain what happened yesterday.

“uhm, thanks for letting me play. I gotta go now.”

Toge nods without looking away from the screen, you take that as a goodbye and pad across the floor, heading back to your room.

That was fun while it lasted. It was better than sleeping all day and crying to music in the bathtub to be specific. You eventually make it to your bedroom, it's dark, curtains closed and no lamps on. A sigh escapes you when your body connects to your bed. Your hand grasps the cover, the soft blankets swallowing you whole as you pull it over your head.

The only thing that lights your little blanket cave is the screen of your phone. You yawn, eyes lids feeling heavy as you type just a little more.
