"listen, um..." drusilla mumbled, quietly walking towards the president's desk. he was working, he often did, but she was just unstoppable, she'd walk in and do her thing anyway. "i found this in a park while i was taking a walk in the city. he looks hungry." the lady smiled, putting a squirrel on valentine's desk. then, she smiled wide and waited for a feedback from funny. "can we keep him? he's so cute..." she pretty much was the only one in the house who wasn't afraid to interrupt valentine's business. drusilla even interrupted his afternoon nap sometimes. but somehow she always got away with it.
Valentine hadn’t really noticed Drusilla had entered his office until he heard her speak - it wasn’t that he didn’t want to pay attention to his beloved, no, but he was so invested in his work that he tuned everyone else out. “Hm, what is it my dear?” he set his pen aside, of course if Drusilla needed something he’d gladly listen. He was curious what she had been referring to and then Valentine saw it - the little squirrel that was now making itself comfortable on his desk. It warmed his heart how caring Drusilla was. He smiled a little in her direction - well, if she wanted to keep the squirrel, how could Valentine refuse? The squirrel did look like it was in need of a home. “Well...” he sighed. “Alright, my dear, but only because it is you who is asking. “ although Funny Valentine is a bit too busy to really keep any pets or anything, he really does love animals and he’s sure that Drusilla will take good care of it. He chuckled softly to himself, now getting up from his desk and going over to be closer to Drusilla. He gently strokes her cheek with his gloved hand, “You are absolutely adorable. I don’t think I could ever say ‘no’ to you.”
