People call it a believe

Some call it tolerance

But faith justified a person

Why I took up knitting, and kept it up.

Truth: I have only been able to knit the following items: *scarves *one hat *one baby blanket *partial sweater that needs to be finished for a child through WORLD VISION- see how you can impact a child’s life- www.knitforkids.org

*but mostly scarves….

Second truth: I have a hard time sitting still, at least the last 30 year of my life, I’ve enjoyed quiet moments these days, especially during my son’s long morning nap.

Third truth: It’s a spiritual discipline, that helps me stop, and be quiet and listen.

I think many times we get intimidated to think about how to ‘start a devotional’ time, when the praxis of a devotional time (when ever you can make the time happen) is sometimes the practice of stopping and being quiet. So, to help me in particularly with centering prayer, I either take the long route and make a French pressed coffee or pick up my knitting needles, as it fosters a different pace than the rest of my day demands. Then, I’m also not making demands on God, but I am practicing being present with him.

Psalm 46:10 says, “Cease striving and know that I am God.”
