Embarrassment and frustration overflowed her cup as she realized too late that her heel had caught in a crevice on the porch stairs. Said heel quickly snapped just as her lips had made contact with Lilith's, prematurely ending the kiss as Zelda's ankle rolled and sent her to the ground. It was the final scene in the comedy of errors that had been their date, and all Zelda could do was begin to laugh. No doubt Lilith would think her deranged but what did that truly matter now after everything, she thought.
