He waited for her to reply, an eyebrow curving upwards as she didn't speak. "So? What are you doing, pacing the corridors?" he demanded, impatiently. He knew he cut quite an intimidating figure, but he rarely scared people into silence - not when he didn't mean to, at least. He tilted his head to one side as he examined her, waiting a moment longer. "Are you quite well?"
Jacquetta hated this feeling. She grew up on relative comfort, but she had never come close to such wealth that she got when she married. She was always the one who took care of her family. She had married her husband, because he had been good and kind, but he had provided for her sisters, and helped her brothers. Now he was gone and she was deperate to protect her son. ❝i haven't slept in months your majesty❞ she admitted ❝i was hoping some movement would tire my body out. I shall return to my chambers❞ she bowed and turned to go back.
"I beg your pardon?" she wasn't entirely certain if they had been speaking to her or not. She was meant to be meeting with Penelope and Eloise for tea, and potentially she would be accompanying them to peruse some books. She had no true desire to go to the bookstore, but she could potentially find something that would pique her interest. After all bookstores were full of potential.
Benjamin had been excited about going to the bookstore today as he was on any other day. He was sad to be away from school, but that did not mean he could not enjoy learning on the break. He was about to walk past this young lady, when he saw she had dropped a handkerchief ❝sorry miss, I saw you dropped this.❞ he nodded and smiled
Emerson had never planned on this either, they'd met by chance in Tree Hill, she'd gotten him to use one of her songs in something he was working on, and it had become something more eventually. Unexcepted sure, but never bad. Honestly relationships of this sort had never much been her bag either. Never really stuck. But this felt different than ever. Real. He was different, sweet, special. A kind of guy she wasn't really sure still existed. But Julian Baker had totally made her fall for it even when she hadn't been planning on it at all.
Oh she was so moved by him telling that, despite everything of the past and how he was, that he loved her completely. "Yes," she finally managed quietly wrapping her arms around his neck and moving in slightly closer. "I think you can consider yourself not the only one that wasn't planning on it but fell hard." She leaned in and pecked at his lips. "I love you too. Very much, actually. I was never exactly sure I'd find anything I love that much in this town but..."
Julian smiled a wide silly grin at the redhead. He had not felt so sure of someone saying they loved him before. Sure Peyton had, but there was always this lingering doubt about it, as if she was still holding onto Lucas Scott. Which it turned out she was. God he was so angry, he had come to tree hill to get her back? To torture her? To sabotage her new relationship? Perhaps all of the above. However meeting Emerson has changed that. He wasn't hurt by her and was happy for her and Lucas. He wanted a future with Emerson not to be haunted by his past.
Not trusting words to come out, knowing tears would be more likely, he cupped her face, and kissed her softly. He needed it to steady himself, to ground himself. The kiss provided just that. Finally when he knew he could form words, even if tears came too he said ❝i never thought❞ he started ❝i never thought I would have this. Even with peyton..❞ he had opened up to her about that ❝i thought I would always be alone, but I don't want that anymore. I want you. I want something real with you❞ the tears were forming but he didn't care.

Kate watched Penelope taking a long look at her necklace. Her heart raced as she wondered if she would finally find clues about it. When the other woman started talking, Kate's green hues filled for the first time in years with hope. "Oh, that would be a first clue." She smiled shyly, her heart racing as she was feeling that for the first time in her life, she might find answers. "I will do anything to help and in return, you have my word that your secret is more than safe. I am not the kind to spread rumours, I avoid them. Even when I am not part of the ton." She smiled humbly before looking down. "I just carried this necklace my whole life and I can't find the origin of it. My father was a jeweller but his work was definitely not as fine as this piece of jewel." She confessed, hoping to find finally something and why she was carrying this jewel around her neck her whole life.
Somehow the idea of helping this young woman made Penelope relax. It was as if they both owed each other and the act of protection. It was a way both could make sure their secrets stay that way. If this young woman didn't need anything from Penelope, then why would she keep her lady whistledown secret? She could blackmail Penelope or sell the secret to a high bidder, and live well. Instead she needed something from her and that made penelope feel safe. ❝well I know of one person with an eye for fashion who knows everyone❞ she thought of Genevieve Delacroix is a talented dressmaker , the modiste. ❝she will be out tonight, but we can go there tomorrow❞ she then realized how would she meet up with her? ❝will your employer let you get away?❞
"Emerson Panabaker," she managed gently extending her hand. "Pleasure." The songwriter managed gently. "How can I help you then? You looking for somewhere in particular? I've been here most of my life...I can probably help you out with what or wherever around here. Tree Hill's not that big." She rolled her eyes letting out a small laugh.

Perhaps Violet would know the name if she ever bought some of the jewels? Kate barely remembered her childhood, all she had was this gold medallion with the crest of a very influent family. She just wasn't away of it, not aware of her true identity yet.
The viscountess thought of the man's name. She realized she recognized the name. Edmund had loved buying her clothes, flowers, but her favorite was jewelry. She never asked, but he always would bring her jewelry made for her, he would explain that he worked with the jewelry to try and capture her beauty. ❝my husband was a patron. He felt your father was very talented.❞ she smiled at her ❝this necklace was one of the pieces he commissioned❞ she touched the one she was wearing. She felt a small tear in her eye. She was remembering this was one of the last pieces he had given her. It wasn't the fact she would never give her gifts, but she'd never see his face light up, knowing she would love it, explaining how he had spent so much time making sure it was perfect. Had she loved the gift, or how he looked when he gave it to her?

Seeing her blush showed that he hadn't become some horrible villain in her mind. Anthony didn't like being so harsh, so brash. However he had to be. He had so much on his mind sometimes it came out wrong ❝join me for tea❞ he offered. Like any servant she would refuse, but he simply stated ❝it will make me feel better. Do not worry, I will vouch for you if your employer says Anthony. I hear he can be cruel when someone refuses him❞ he winked a little
It had become rather suffocating in that room, and she was just looking for a reprieve. She hadn't expected the room to already be occupied, and she righted herself, "Apologies, I believed this room was unoccupied" she admitted.
Nathaniel was trying to take a breath. Ever since he took over his brother's title, he had been overwhelmed. Most people were not good at grief and their words while well intentioned but it was too much. He looked at the short redheaded woman and felt horrible ❝i am sorry, I think we both had the same idea❞
