But you're right, the roof hasn't been looked at in.. well, years maybe?" If it had been worked on since Edward's death, Zelda had clearly not been mentally present for it.

Maerose arched a brow at that although she figured she should have expected such a question. “I expect loyalty. You stay loyal to me and you get my protection and guidance in return.” A small chuckle followed then. “I believe some might say I am possessive but not quite in the same way as Lucifer. I do not appreciate my wards being stolen either. But if you truly have the desire to leave me again, I will not force you to stay.” But so far not a single person had regretted putting their faith in her. She was a good goddess, a fair one.
“So tell me, are you truly ready to pledge yourself to me? To abandon his dark ways and step into the lighter realms?” Violet eyes rested on the other woman. “Because if you are, then you have until the next full moon to prepare.” Two weeks, that was how long she would have to truly devote herself to Maerose.
Lighter realms. These words are the first and only thing to unsettle her thus far. Zelda had no doubts that her family could adapt, but for herself she wasn't as sure. Hilda had always pushed back against the darker aspects of their faith, and Ambrose and Sabrina were young enough. But would it truly be possible for her?
"Would you spurn my family if I fall short, if I fail to meet your lighter expectations," she asked, her voice softer as her uncertainty shaded her tone and expression. "Of their ability to please you I have no doubts in the slightest. Its only.. my own heart may reveal itself to be more black than red after all these years."
Lilith gave an incline of her head, silently admitting that perhaps there had been a little disappointment. Since being steadily drawn further within Sabrina's circle, the opportunities for torture had been...remarkably reduced. Aside from the little ice cream man Sabrina had dragged to Hell herself, the action had been decidedly...absent.
"Missing you?" Lilith repeated, scoffing a little and making every effort to appear as if the concept was ridiculous. "I'm just aware that the longer small things are left alone in this town, the sooner they become...." Lilith took a deep breath, forcing a tight smile to hide any lurking truth in Zelda's statement. "Larger issues."
Lifting her chin to meet Zelda's challenge, she leaned a hand on the woman's desk as she looked at her.
"Though I have to admit, there is something about this...particular environment that I am drawn to."
The amusement in Zelda's eyes and her smile only sparkled more for Lilith's initial dismissal; she took it as a small personal victory. And why shouldn't she? This was Lilith after all, the being she once prayed to, and she could have easily struck her down if she truly found her teasing so offensive. The fact that she didn't rip her to shreds here and now, or ever if she gave it further thought, gave the witch the all more confidence that she was at least partially correct.
"And what do you think that something is? Since it clearly isn't some kindred spirit you see in Sabrina, given your displeasure at her mention. So tell me," she spoke as she took another step to invade Lilith's space, unwilling to let the upper hand get away from her. "What draws you to us like some magnet? I can keep a secret, if you're worry for your image."

💝How long until they feel secure and comfortable in a relationship?
It doesn't take very long for Zelda to feel comfortable; she quite enjoys having the attention. Feeling secure is a different thing entirely, however, especially if it starts post-Marie betrayal/heartbreak. Zelda unfortunately is going to have that voice in the back of her mind telling her it won't last and that they will eventually leave. So I'd say it would take a decent amount of time, maybe a full year or two or even more, and a lot of proof to get rid of that mindset.
🤐Would they ever confess their feelings first?
Zelda is pretty good at expressing interest in someone, but when it comes to admitting anything deeper she is likely to struggle within for a bit. But that's really if she has time to sit alone with her thoughts for too long. She's also quite capable of just blurting things out, if her guard is down.
😘Does their demeanor change when in a relationship?
Absolutely. The walls come down and her partner gains access to the brightest smiles, infectious laughter, and a depth of softness reserved only for them.
🚀 How far are they willing to go for the person they love?
So long as it causes no harm to her family, Zelda will do anything and everything within her power. She'd cross lines you'd never imagine asking her to (so be careful what ya wish for there).
