Not an exaggeration to say that day changed my damn life….

Blaise had intended on telling Theo he was wrong.

His books and his potions and his stupid, stubborn insistence that it had all gone according to plan (it had not gone according to plan) and an afternoon spent vigorously discussing how badly it had not ‘gone to plan’ with Millicent had upset his usually nigh unflappable temper. By the time he began hammering insistently upon the apartment door he hadn’t thought to check his watch or consider the day of the week (they all kind of blended together on Wood’s insane practice schedule) and so it was perhaps more of a shock than it should have been to see Pansy on the other side of it.

He blinked once, bolstered perhaps by the half a bottle of wine he’d split with Millicent over commiserations (and her bullying, he supposed, but that was simply part of being around her), already riled as he decided that Pansy was perhaps an even better option. Fighting with her, at least, was fun. Theo had stopped listening to his theories about why the potion hadn’t worked two weeks ago.

“Is he here?” was the first question out of his lips, before, almost in the same breath, “No, I don’t want to talk to him. Pans,” an exhaled breath of residual annoyance, “Do you have wine?” He didn’t usually drink on weeknights but a glimpse of that auror at a cafe he sometimes went to for breakfast after practice had set him on edge for the rest of the day and it had all gone downhill from there. “Millie has no taste at all — I think she’d buy it in a box if she could. I need to talk to you.”
