During Disney’s closure it’s estimated that the business lost an estimated $1 billion in operating income because of the worldwide theme park closures during the quarter.
Though I don't believe an official date was given, it was widely assumed the TRON roller coaster would open on the Magic Kingdom's 50th anniversary (October 1, 2021). Sadly, though, it looks like the opening of the coaster might be delayed.
Due to the ongoing pandemic situation, Disney parks largely remain empty and their movie release plans have been derailed. As a result, they are currently in a financially precarious position, and cutting back on spending. And it looks like construction on the TRON roller coaster will be temporarily halted, as a cost-saving measure.

While several projects, like Avengers Campus—at both Disney California Adventure and Disneyland Paris—are able to surge forward based on where we were in development, there are others that will be picked back up in stages—like Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway and TRON—and some that are longer-term that we will need more time to assess.
Magic Kingdom’s newest TRON coaster attraction, based on TRON Lightcycle Power Run at Shanghai Disneyland was set to be open in time for the 50th anniversary of the park in 2021. That timeline could still happen, but work will need to resume quickly.
