I went out for a mile and a half walk this morning to make the most of the gloriously sunny morning before Storm Claudio makes like the ocean and dumps a few tons of water on our heads! Of course, my knee regrets it, but my anxiety doesn’t, so fuck my knee, basically!
Anyway, I went out to photograph some Georgian postboxes (as I do! Because yes, taking photos of postboxes is absolutely a thing I do now!) and while I was out, I grabbed some other photos too of things that caught my eye.

These cast iron lampposts are common in the older part of Headington where I was walking this morning.

There are at least three of these Oxfordshire Blue Plaques in Old Headington. Another is to Elizabeth Bowen - though I didn’t see that one this morning.

I’ve never seen this before, though granted it’s been 30 odd years since I was down this end of Headington, so that’s not surprising!

And here are the two George V wall postboxes that were the reason I went for a mile and a half walk this morning!
The second one had recently had a new coat of paint because I could see the paint drips on the wall to the right of the box.
