She crashed into the water and razor-sharp teeth sunk into her arm. The scream that came out of her was only bubbles and she was being dragged into the dark water. Everything was a blur but the next thing she knew her head was above water and she started flailing her good arm about and smacked something soft.

“Ow please no. Swim with me.” K’lai’a’la grunted and Sadie pathetically kicked through the water until they got to the wall. Kireen hoisted Sadie up until she got a grip and could hold herself up with one arm. It didn’t take long to understand that Kireen had used some holy magic which combined with a well-placed arrow from K’lai’a’la that finally killed the eel. Now the only problem was getting from the wall to the hole in the ceiling and up onto solid ground

With the eel out of the way their ascent was comical. Footing kept giving way, roots kept snapping. Kireen finally managed to get a grip on some solid ground and Sadie was losing her footing but at the last moment, she reached out and grabbed Kireen’s ankle. So now there is a dragonborn dangling from the edge of a hole above an underground lake while a halfling dangles from her ankle. Then one of the best quotes from the campaign came up. K’lai’a’la was close behind and turns to the DM and asks “can I climb up using the halfling as rope?”
