Slandering EVERY Warhammer 40K faction in 15 minutes
Happy New Year everyone!
Its name is Precious Baby
I like making miniatures out of toys, junk and found objects. This little horror appears in my zine, The Budget Bestiary, which you can get digitally for free or in print pretty cheap from my Itch store: https://james-holloway.itch.io/the-budget-bestiary
The poorhammer dogs come to life! :D Got two squads of Space Marines with sergeants, one squad of scouts and a veteran scout, one dreadnaught and my chaplain directing my troops! You may notice the Chaplain is my goober and for some cool trans lesbian fun my girlfriends goober is in the dreadnaught >>>:)) gonna post pictures of them each individually soon with little names and stories and personalities about each one of them :))) name suggestions welcome hehehe
Welcome to drawhammer!!
Bit of a stray from standard, but here are the Railings. Infamous snipers and sanctioned abhumans of the astra militarum.
Their box isn't individual yet, and my buddy leaves in about a month, so I fassioned these in s couple of hours. Bases and height are (roughly) to scale, and it was very fun getting to do quick doodles of the official operatives.
I am say their GW products, as I made them from the box my Kill Team universal equipment came in.

Poorhammer's Horde Mode is pretty fun
for some reason i feel the need to tell you that whilst i usually enjoy poorhammers videos, especially the silly grading ones.
i am currently being driven insane by the fact that in their recent "grading every factions medic" they didnt choose the engiseer for admech despite it being able to heal any unit in the army (tho i guess technically only ones with more than one wound)
they chose cawl who can only heal himself
Yeah these guys are not exactly known for doing proper research when the faction is not one they play. Like, for the same video, take T'au. They could have done a little digging and figured out that back in the day, T'au HAD actual medic-drones.
Here's their 9th edition datasheet from Wahapedia - and Battlesuits back then were classified as infantry, so they check all boxes on their own little "what is a medic" thing. I know some people who painted them up real nice with a Red Cross logo on the dome and all. Little Medic drones, exactly the silly T'au thing you'd put in such a video.
But nooooo, that would mean putting in a minute of effort, so nope.
While Poorhammer is content you can mostly consider "tolerable", it is so in the context of "40k Youtube". Sadly, the bar for that is really, REALLY low.
Recently I’ve been attempting to re-create a Mekana type scene with scrap Terrain for the ABC Warriors Miniature game. It’s my first time using random bits and bobs to create terrain, other than the occasional lollipop stick bridges.
I think It looks okay, maybe aside from the obvious use of a Pringles tube and gravel filters. And lots and lots of sprues.
I plan on applying mesh to the back piece and adding more ladders to make it workable on the tabletop, as well as maybe some oil spills and General metal-looking bits of scrap to align with the mid-construction scaffold kinda look of Mekana.
Also the stage set that game with the game starter kit by Sarissa Precision - who are the same company I got the spotlights as shown above. In my opinion their kits beat TTCombat substantially, although just a tad more expensive, it certainly makes up for it in appearance and durability. I also appreciate that you don’t need to prime the MDF before applying the paint, whereas TTCombat terrain has an annoying amount of fluff. But that’s my opinion.
Also, this is how it looked previously before I got frustrated with the “Biol refinery” (energy drink cans), which I ended up tearing apart. Yeah, it looks like rubbish. It is. But doesn’t mean im happy about it
