Ringsys new storyline - part 8
Part 8 – Ringo is still searching, Julius can`t concentrate and Tobias bursts into tears
Vivien asks if anyone has already responded to the search image. Tobias denies and adds that they have to make sure the picture gets out to the people in marocco. Vivien is hopeful that one of her fellow students (Samira) will be able to help them with that task. Vivien want`s to now if Ringo called. Tobias tells her that he did, but that there still is no trace of Easy. She very accurate curses „shit!“ and heads fort the bathroom. There she immediatly calls for Tobias because there is blood on the sink. Vivien and Tobias are calling their flatmates and come to the conclusion that the blood hast o be from Julius. before they can worry any more, Julius comes in and explains that he cut himself while shaving with the wet razor. Not that this is suprising, Tobias takes one look at him and guesses that the blood is linked to the patches in Julius`face. Vivien explaines that she uses the razor to shave her legs ... and other parts of the body and Julius looks irritated at her. After this funny little break from serious topics, Tobias asks why he isn`t in school. Julius answers that he was there for his math-class, but couldn`t focus on it. Tobias ads a little confused „and the suit should have helped you with it?“ Julius denies quite seriously and clarifies that he ment to try out his outfit for their appointment at the family court. He points out that the appointment is in a few days already. Vivien and Tobias exchanges looks. Then Julius shows them that he has borrowed Easys watch as a good luck charm for the adoption date. he assures right away that Easy knows it and that he has written him an SMS. He explains that Easy has a new cell phone. They talk a little bit about the (fake-) reason, why Easy is not on his way home yet, despite feeling better. Julius thinks that he might get asked questions about Easys father in the family court and wants to talkt to Easy about it. Tobias tries to assure him that he will certainly not be asked such questions and tells him that Easys father lives is Australien, but Julius wants to know details. He is disapointed when he isn`t able to reach Easy. He takes his meal up to his room to try to call Easy again. It becomes more and more clear, that Julius needs another sign of life then just a text.
Vivien and Tobias call Ringo and the first thing they ask is whether there is a new track. Ringo declines, but says that the police are about to start a search that he can participate in. He asks about Julius and they tell him about Julius' questions. Ringo knows the answers right away: Easys father moved two years ago to Kimberley and opened a pub. The Lassners tell him that Julius can sense something is wrong, but they get interrupted by the police who wants to get going. Ringo asks the two of them to come up with something. Tobias agrees and asks him to call (for news).
On the roof terrace, Tobias and Vivien discuss the reasons why it is not right to lie to Julius, but they should keep on doing it anyway. They agree that they have to figure out how to give Julius a sign of life from Easy. Tobias decides to cut some of Easy's moderations and his voice mail together. At the end you can hear Easy say: hi, this is Easy. I'm fine, I hope you are, too. Sorry for not getting in touch earlier. Don't worry about me. I love you! Bye.
Vivien thinks it sounds really good, but Tobias states that they are lying to Julius anyway. Vivien reminds him that they are only doing it to alleviate Julius` worries and that Tobias just said that too. She says that Easy would have wanted it that way too, but immediately notices that something is up with Tobias.
In tears, he asks:
„What if that's the last thing we ever heard of Easy? What if that voice belongs to someone who is dead?“ He cries in her embrace.
