It’s the product of my relationship with the Zelda series as a whole, which strikingly resembles the nesting habits of ferrets, which is to say that intermittently I emerge from a crack in the wall to steal something I find appealing and then run away to shove it back into my crevice.

You can basically consider them original fan-incarnations, since with the exception of directly chronologically linked games like Wind Waker, Phantom Hourglass, and Spirit Tracks, functionally every Zelda game is an AU of the previous installments.

I thought this was the case; thanks for clarifying! I guess it all works out - Log Date worked fine as a finale, and Super Watermelon Island was certainly a great way to start off a season! I’m honestly surprised SWI was intented as a midseason episode.

It’s both the general “birdiness” as well as the swooping - mostly, though, it’s the talons and the beaks. 

Penguins, though, don’t bother me much at all. I’d probably be a little apprehensive about approaching or being around a penguin, but I’d be much more willing to hang with a penguin than I would, say, a pigeon. They’re way cuter, plus they can’t fly at me, and if they try to peck my eyes out I think I could dropkick one pretty easily. 

I’m pretty sure this is referring to the watermelons from SWI, in which Steven kind of literally is their god; he’s basically their divine creator, right?

I did see the comic (or video?) sometime shortly after watching the episode...and also, I’m actually doing a playthrough of Undertale right now! I’ll link the playlist below so you can watch it, if you like - warning, though: I’m not great at commentary, banter, or comedy. There’s also some audio mixing issues in the first few episodes; it gets addressed later on. I’m also kind of terrible at the game apparently. AND you’ll have to put up with my voice which is...unpleasant, but it’s here if you want to put something on in the background! We are NOT professionals, sorry. I mean seriously I was eating ice cream while playing, not considerate AT ALL

You guys are way too kind, giving me WAY too much leeway when it comes to taking so much time away from the blog. 

Unfortunately, I’m going to have to put BoJack on the back burner for a while. I can barely keep up with SU right now, so adding BoJack to the mix would be a poor choice, I think.

I can’t say that for certain - I’ve never been able to stick to a consistent schedule, unfortunately. I’m trying out the every Friday thing, but that doesn’t even necessarily guarantee a full episode every week - it’s what I’m aiming for, but it’s not a guarantee. The liveblog has to take a back seat to more pressing things, namely work and school. 

I won’t lie and tell you a Patreon would guarantee anything, but it would DEFINITELY be more incentive to stay as consistent as possible.

Yeah, it definitely fits in with the vibe of the show - I just hope it’s not all. I’d be surprised if it was, but I’d also be understanding if that’s just...it.

Outwardly the Cluster is kind of beautiful in a haunting way. But then when you begin to think about what goes into it, I just want to crawl into a hole and cry. 

I don’t know if this is asking for an explanation or a fic, so Ill just explain why I like the ship a bit,

First of all the ship is a crossover pairing between two character’s from different shows. Dipper Pines from Gravity Falls and Wirt from Over the Garden Wall.

They are both little awkward, goofy, guys and a pairing between them fits their in common personalities very well, in my opinion! They’ve both been on adventures no one else could dream of and I think that’s something they’d bond over - also silly but endearing siblings. Plus they can both be very sassy which I always think is fun in any ship!

This pairing does imply they’re both bisexual since both of the guys have had crushes on girls in their individual shows, but since neither have had a confirmed sexual orientation by the shows creators it’s a cute headcannon for me, especially as a bisexual women who loves the idea of more harmless, cute ships representation!

Understandable, that definitely has a great impact on the way the viewers perceive a character, and I do agree that they overplayed Marco’s punchability a bit too much for my liking in Sophomore Slump and part of Lint Catcher (he got better, though), but I don’t see it as a regression: Marco probably really thinks the things he said in Sleepover, and we have seen in several occasions that he can be rather wise for his age, but probably lacked the emotional maturity (as we have abundantly seen in these past few segments) to apply it to his life. He thought he’d have been able to keep up with his words with Jackie, but he didn’t had the drive to once they actually started dating. So I wouldn’t talk about “regression”, just some focus on the bad part of his personality, something that he was in a dire need of, since ever since early S2 he only seemed to either grow, or at least achieve something, be it a lesson to learn or a moral, in most episodes. Now it’s time for something that takes a longer time, but that also has a greater impact.
