It's possible. Difficult but possible, such a union is only possible in this way and through agreements. And Nix and Hayden may not like each other, or agree on many things, but if there's a common ground ,like Mc... well. We'll see. But one thing is certain, they only tolerated each other.
Poly V is yet to be seen, and definitely won't be added anytime soon in book one. Could there be a beginning? Maybe, but considering everything I've planned, the routes and everything else, this will be explored further in book two.

I was thinking of Nigelโs personality and thought of him being like a kind of Nicole from Class of 09 (just withoutโฆall of that).Heโs convinced that most adult in town is some two faced man who just wants kids(and teens too I guess) due to trauma(both pre-knd and during it) that he cannot remember.
Hoagie has to deal with not getting decommissioned and,unknowingly,his brother who is helping. Yes,Tommy isnโt an operative but I do think he is their best choice to keep tabs on him. Unfortunately Hoagie knows it
Abby is a TND operative and Creeโs second in command(going with Cree being 14 in the series and 16 when Abby turns 13). Nigel avoids her due to the ninjas being in cahoots with Father.
Nigel was decommissioned for the test thing but he didnโt rat out Abby at all.

What the hell to do with Kuki and Wally.
I have no idea what to do with these two. Maybe theyโre teens or still 12. I had something for Sonia,Lee, and Harvey since theyโre helping Tommy,but not those two.
One idea I had was Kuki avoiding decommissioned from a technique she found out about,like how Vanessa from The Hollow prevented her mind being wiped in the competition. No idea for Wally though,so maybe heโd just stayed decommissioned.

I do like the idea of them being kids forever,but I donโt know if Iโll stick to it. One idea that I had was them trying to suck up or have Nigel join them now that he was a teenager(since they want to be teens) but I doubt they would even give a shit about him since heโs not a teenager ninja.

Iโm not done talking about Beware of Chicken, actually. This book has a thruple that is only subtext by the skin of its fucking teeth and only subtext if you have no critical reading skills (character A referring to character B as his wife while character D tells character A and C to have a nice time on their date. A making a comment about โitโs nice to come home after visiting other henโs coopsโ and then realizes it sounds like he went and sleep around while B and C turn to โgive him the gimlet eyeโ)
Like, the only reason I call it subtext and not just textual is because the text does not explicitly state that the three of them are in a romantic relationship and I know how the reading comprehension on this webbed site is.
And yet there are no jealousy arcs, no double dealing, none of that bullshit. Just wholesome polyamory.
Then it has another thruple explicitly stated in a flashback where we get this one ancient emperorโs whole life story from his POV.
And to FURTHER make my poly little heart beat in paroxysms of joy, the main character (Jin) has the best most badass wonderful wife (Meiling)โฆand Meimei will not stop flirting with the cultivator woman (Xiulan) who is repeatedly described as the most beautiful woman anyone has ever seen. Like โYou are always welcome in our bed, Xiulan,โ and โIโll get you in my bed one day!โ And just a constant tease and flirt while Jin just sighs and allows random strangers to think Xiulan is his wife so they donโt treat her like a piece of ass - which leads to his own wife getting mistaken for the maid and she never gets mad about this, just eggs them on. She is GUNNING for this poly triad or at LEAST to have a second partner herself.
Meanwhile, Xiulan is SO ace-coded (to me). Possibly also aro-coded, but Iโm not gonna stake my life on it. She just rolls her eyes at Meimei or she and Jin team up to tease Meimei, and then she snuggles with her in the bath while they take an opportunity to ogle Jin together. This is the slowest of slow burns and if something isnโt canonized Iโm eat my phone. Everyone who meets them (who knows Meimei is the wife) assumes Xiulan is his concubine - even her own father!
I do not often see this much positive poly representation in such a wholesome book and I squeal every time it happens. There is so much more but I want yโall to read it yourselves.
