Now that we know that the companions will have unlimited lives (but will have a wall of shame where we keep track of their "deaths"), it's time to pick who Magdalena will be traveling with the most. Her karma is allowed to be shifted around and I will do what I can to recruit followers when possible and do what I can to avoid turning them against her... but some of that could be up to the polls, though, I may remove options that could get Maggie in deep trouble with her companion. Something to keep in mind, I guess.

Also keep in mind that Fallout 3 is buggy and I'm on console... so if someone randomly dies or disappears... that sucks, but there isn't much I can do. It'll just become part of the story, I guess.

Anyway, this poll will decide Maggie's main companion and whatever companions will be used the most when the main companion is out of commission or not available (like when they "die". Deaths will be treated as "injuries" that companions need to recover from. A save is reloaded and the companion is taken to their "home base" and left there for a few quests/in game days until they "recover"). This also applies if I get tired traveling with someone. I love most of these guys... but not all of them lol...

Since Dogmeat can be used alongside other companions, he will just be used randomly, even when traveling with someone else. For that reason, he will not be on the poll.

After politely thanking Amata for the new comic, Magdalena spots some birthday cake on the counter. Unfortunately, Andy destroys it with his buzzsaw before anyone can get any.

While a little disappointed by this, Maggie can see that Old Lady Palmer has a sweetroll for her! But after she accepts it and thanks the old woman, Butch starts demanding that she give him the sweet treat instead.

Butch is prone to violence if he doesn't get his way, and Magdalena is kinda weak... but that sweetroll was a gift for her!

It's a girl! Now, normally we'd name our character at this point. But how about instead we pick our character's look from one of these 12 mostly random presets I've made? That way we can get some more ideas for names and pick something that fits her.

In other words, I need you guys to pick one so I can delete all the other save files. It's giving me anxiety.

The Wasteland is full of random crap. So why not collect some of it?

The items I've chosen are ones not linked to any weapon schematics so that Maggie won't have to use any of her beloved collectibles to make a weapon. I'll grab the selected item(s) as often as I can and even steal them if necessary.

They will then be piled up somewhere in her house. Keep in mind, some of these are rarer than others.

So, now that we've settled on Merc/Wastelander/Dusters as her style, which outfit (once I find it) should be the one she wears the majority of the time?

I'm not asking for the exact armor or clothing, just a general vibe of what she will wear. And don't worry, I can adjust the difficulty of the game if things get too hard or too easy. So please, just pick what you want. However, I don't want to give her anything to cover her face as I want her to keep her glasses on at all times, so full body outfits might be off the table (for now at least). And helmets/hats might be picked by me.

Also, some of these might overlap or be up for interpretation, so bear with me. I will also keep a few articles of clothing on her to help with skills and stuff but they won't be her primary clothing. And some of these might take a while to get but still vote for them if you want them.

It was close but Lockpicking snatches 25% of the vote and Maggie pours her points into it. Should be easier to open those pesky Average locks now. Anyway, it's time to pick a new perk.

Magdalena swallows her pride and goes to talk to the unsavory bar owner. Surely convincing someone like him that dad always spoke highly of him will-

...maybe it was her heavily irradiated state... maybe it was the way he'd treated his employees... or maybe it was just pure desperation on her part, but Maggie had had enough of this man.

After he was done trying to goad her into doing his dirty work, Moriarty strolled off and sat down at his terminal. The terminal that Maggie so desperately needed to get into. While the man was distracted, she quietly shut the office door, pulled out a switchblade she'd found in Springvale, and crouched down.

Although her reflexes and strength were hindered by her critical radiation poisoning, Maggie managed to sneak up on Moriarty and take him out. Unfortunately, he made a lot of noise as he fell to the floor. Moving quickly, Maggie grabbed his password (and outfit) and hopped onto his computer.

She ignored the commotion from the bar and pounding knocks at the office door and found the information she needed. Galaxy News Radio. Wasn't that the radio station Gob and Nova were arguing about earlier-?

Uh oh. Maggie was caught. Fighting her way out was an option, but as far as she knew, none of these other people had done anything wrong. But if they aimed to kill her... then she had to do what she needed to, just like in the vault. Although, in her weakened state... that might not be ideal. Running to the front door and fleeing into the settlement was possible, but risky. Glancing behind her, Maggie saw a locked back door. The lock looked very easy but she had no time to pick it. Perhaps forcing the lock would work?*

*I know time freezes when you pick locks in game but... this is more fun, right?
