He decided to throw out his starter because it would be too easy.
He did wipe his save and started again. We both ended up fighting Roxanne and didn’t lose anyone. During the pvp he won!

saw someone hc Hau as the hardenshipping child (bc while Roark might look a lot like Maxie to me, Hau looks SO MUCH like Archie) and I love that!!! so I'm making sure that Hau becomes THEIR child :)

I've been playing the Pokemon Leaf Green switch port while on a road trip and it's making me YEARN DESPERATELY for gen 3. Something about those games was so magical to me, and they remain my favorites all these years later.
I don't even remember particularly loving any of the starters or legendaries, but I adored the world and the art (the rain!! Your characters reflection in a puddle!!) it felt so alive and mysterious and exciting.
And Skitty. Skitty was important.
