Fun Home - What did your parents hide from you when growing up? 

Both of my parents were smokers while I was growing up. I found out while I was in high school, but was forbidden to talk to my sisters about it. When they found out a few years later, it caused a massive shitstorm in the house. I don’t know if they still smoke or not.

Hand to God - What topic do you wish you could talk about freely?

Hmmm. I try to be super open about things, so I feel like I talk about a lot of things freely-- or at least I attempt to. I think I would like the ability to talk more freely about fandom things with my real life friends.

Something Rotten! - What was the first show/musical you ever saw?

I think the most important part of that scene was that Kurt didn't snap back but instead went off to reflect. He's listening in a way that seems new and important. Even if mostly what he needed to listen to from that is he hurt Santana's feelings.

Oh yeah, I've seen other people say that as well. It's hard to me to say really, since he was dealing with so many other emotions that episode. I told someone else I thought he probably stayed quiet partly because he knew he had been wrong on some level and partly because of where he was emotionally. It's a hard call.

Also, even wrong/unfair criticism sometimes works b/c it can help you figure out what you ACTUALLY have done wrong. I think that's what happened here, for Kurt. He gets multiple pieces of advice/criticism, ponders, decides what HE thinks about that.

THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT POST BUT WAIT I NEED TO KNOW MORE. DOES IT CONTAIN SPOILERS PAST BOOK 28 WHICH IS WHERE I AM PLEASE THANK YOU.

SO! it's been a while since i read or watched, so i had to look it up. i remember that the show took a lot of liberties, so it's not always a good match anyway.

first season: you're good up until the final episode, which is vaguely based on book 29 (there's also an episode based on megamorphs 1, and one that has vague ties to megamorphs 4 [but it was aired before that book was even out, so it shouldn't be too bad, spoilers-wise])

second season: you should be ok, but this season (short as it is) is where they start going a little crazy on the plot lines, so ymmv.

(ps beware that the episodes, notably 'my name is jake part 2', is out of order. you can look at the netflix page for the correct order)
