Well friends, because that was the most excellent free version of the feed, and now that I finally threw some sweet cash at his Patreon, I'm looking out from the inside of this sweet Patreon RSS feed with extra goodness. Yes friends, that's how great Mike is. From he's award winning podcast audiobook, Underwood and Flinch, about a good, yet flawed man attempting to escape his family legacy...a legacy that happens to be being the PA of a vampire. And not the glittery kind, no, the Bram Stoker kind. To his post-apocalyptic zombie tale, After the Plague, Mike has given me so many dark creepy laughs. Essentially, if you enjoy british, Shuan of the Dead type dark comedy vibes, this is where you need to be. And it's not just the stories, though that is more than enough, Mike's got a great voice, if he wasn't already doing it, you'd be like, this guy should read audiobooks! Distinct tones and accents that keep you from confusing the characters, it's basically the whole package. And he's a funny guy, chatting a bit at the lead in, it makes me all misty eyed for my first true foray into subscribed podcasts back in the mid-aughts, The Show with ZeFrank @ze_franker2202 (now of "True Facts about..." Youtube fame). He really pulls you in and makes you care. 🤗 Mike, thank you for your service. You've kept my mind happily occupied through hours and hours of work drudgery. I'm not repeatedly proof reading documents and copy and pasting the same correction messages into emails ad nauseam, oh no! I'm fighting off vampires in a hotel lobby with a group of mostly unlikable idiots, trying to escape the inevitable legacy of serving a vampire cult, managing a failing rock venue, and unfortunately I haven't heard One Among the Sleepless yet--so I can't 1 sentence recap that plot, but I hope to fix that soon, or classic Lovecraft and Stoker. Called "One of the best Podcasts ever", Mike's won 5 frickin' Parsec Awards.
