same! barely anyone i know, except my mum (and my godfather, with bomb girls), have watched those!
i LOVE miss fisher - dot is my favourite, but i love phryne and jack too... although it's kinda obvious where they're going with that (i'm still on 2x01 atm), i find i don't actually mind the blatant will they/of course they will dynamic that's been going on
tbh, my one wish for miss fisher is a lot less racism and a lot more narrative coherence - i want jane there all the time, and if she's not, EXPLAIN IT PLS!!! she's basically phryne's daughter once phryne takes her in (plus that ep with her biological mother), and yet until the plot demands she should be wheeled out, she barely exists
also, dr mac is the greatest and i would love it if she was around 1000000% of the time. mac/phryne would be PERFECT for me. bi!phryne or pan!phryne is something i would have loved - it would make a lot of sense for her imo, she loves so many people so fully, and she's kind and thoughtful to people from all parts of society
(although her class is a big advantage to her in getting things done, and i'd appreciate a thoughtful critique of that privilege within the narrative)
have you ever read any of the books the series was based on, btw??? i'm tempted to start them!
ALSO bomb girlssssssss (i've seen bits and bobs of s2 but i can't make myself watch it properly because i know it'll never be finished, which proves the world is deeply unfair on so many levels)
