Still baffled that people think Moffat exaggerated the Doctor's reputation/legend when s5, 6 and 7a were all about deconstructing his reputation as well as deconstructing Amy's hero worship

And 12 who was 'an idiot! In a box!", not a hero or a villain

All while RTD threw messiah allegories around like it was Christmas (literally fights Satan, beats the master by gaining power from people saying his name (!!) and forgiving him (???), the angel robots carrying him up in some very obvious imagery)

I just...did we... watch the same show?

#like the whole point of 10 was that his hubris became his downfall #and then 11 and 12 learned from that #i don't mean this as a criticism of rtd necessarily #i like both eras #for different things #i just think there are valid reasons to dislike moffat Era but this isn't one of them #esp the deconstruction of amys hero worship was one of my favorite elements of 11s era #doctor who #might be a mistake to tag this pff #be kind to me rtd stans
