The countdown has started! On August 3, 2019 the Toronto Caribbean Carnival, formerly known as “Caribana” will take place in the streets of Toronto. The festival was established in 1967 as part of Canada’s 100th Anniversary celebrations by Caribbean immigrants as a cultural gift, and showcases the best in Caribbean arts. Sooo, I attended an event called @madeinthedmv a few months back and met so many hardworking, driven, talented business owners of color it made my heart sing✊🏾 one of which was @aborigineclothing a line showcasing beautiful indigenous folks with an authentic touch.
