She was his everything. It was a lot and It meant a lot, but It wasn’t working.

It was all about choosing and Everytime, he chooses all of the above.

She was glad, he was made that way: He is always trying to save everyone. But she needed him to know; that sometimes It works out, sometimes It doesn’t. He needed to learn when to choose, but he couldn’t.

He does the same thing to himself: He wants God, he wants himself, he wants her and the world too.

From the day they began, from the day they met, he has refused to choose. He wants everything and he is everything. He is all of the above.

She said: You come to me with all these demands, Inspiring completely impossible demands. I don’t even know who I was supposed to be.

He replied: You are supposed to be you.

Indeed she tried, and tried, and tried, to be all of the above, but she can’t.

She said: I am sorry, I cannot be your friend and your everything while you want all of the above. So I am choosing. I have to triage us. Please, go look for your everything.

He replied: What If I want you ? What If you are my Everything.

She said to him: I am afraid, thats no longer an option.

Why? He asked !

She replied: Because We All Want You.

He woke up, It was all a dream.

Everypony clapped politely as Golddigger sauntered back over to her daughter, Diamond Dust’s desk. Funny gulped as Pencil Charm stepped in front of the class and motioned for silence.

“Thank you Golddigger, that was very,” he glanced to the side,” lovely. Who knew you had so many connections in high circles. Next up is Wish Bone and her older brother Funny Bones!”

Many of the fillies cheered, one child up in front waved one of Funny’s squirting flowers. Funny laughed, though the sound was stunted even to his own ears. Wish trotted to the front and turned with a huge grin. Funny was much slower to join her. All eyes were on him and his legs shook as Wish introduced herself.

“And this is my big brother Funny!” Wish waved a hoof in his direction.

Again, everypony clapped politely. Funny looked at the crowd and found Beauty’s smiling face next to Pages indifferent one. Their siblings, Comice and Play Write, bounced in their seats with eye-creasing grins. Dr. Tooth yawned and wiped his eyes just behind them. Every face he looked to, he found expectations, kind smiles, or bored patience. Funny tried to swallow, but it got caught in his throat and he coughed instead. He plastered on a grin.

“He-hello every pony. I’m Funny Bones and, uh… I run the local Jokeshop. Sorry about those whoopee cushions, but you know what I say, better out then in.”

A few fillies laughed, but many of the adults and other students just frowned. Apparently, they had been victim of one of his products then. Funny forced out a laugh and scratched his neck.

“Anyway. Did you hear the one about the dog who can’t eat a trombone? Oh, no,” Funny glanced between the confused faces. “I uh, sorta ruined that one. Um…”

“Funny?” Wish staged whispered, her face falling. “What are you doing?”

“Oh, uh! What about the karate masters favorite tea-no. What is a karate masters favorite drink? Kara-tea! Ha ha!” He tried again, his voice rising as he felt his ears burn.

This time, no one laughed. He chanced a glance to the side but quickly looked elsewhere at Wish’s growing scowl. This wasn’t going well at all and there was nothing he could think of to fix it. His hooves wobbled and his smile fell away. He could feel his heart racing behind his eyes and the world seemed to tilt. Pencil Charm was asking him something, but he couldn’t hear over the sounds of small children mocking and laughing at him.

“I can’t do this. “ Funny declared and ran out of the building.
