From Shirakage Mouse To Gumoko

People (like GodzillaMendoza) have crituqued the Nick Spencer run of ASM on the grounds that revealing post-OMD Harry is a clone rendered his character development post-OMD redundant.

Except...what character development?

Post-OMD Harry was an utter bastardisation of who Harry pre-OMD had been before. He functionally might as well have been a wholesale different character anyway. Any 'development' he got post-OMD was therefore built on a bed of sand, it was false characterisation at best.

And even if we didn't compare him to pre-OMD Harry...what even WAS this 'character development'? He becomes a father...which he already was. Having his second child 'kicks him into adulthood'. Why? Why wouldn't that have happened with his first child?

Basically we had to contort Harry from being a bad father becauae he was deeply troubled into being a bad father because he was a selfish immature jerk and from the latter starting point give him an 'arc'.

A bullshit arc no less because unless you are transcendeantly fucked up beyond even what NORMAN Osborn is like NO MAN is going to go weeks without even thinking about his own child.

Like even NORMAN in a warped way sincerely loved his own son.

Spider-Woman fights a new (and never seen again) villain, Shadowcaster, who was an Egyptian devil-worshipper whose soul springs to life when his corpse is displayed in a New York museum. She’s also got all kinds of emerging powers and she’s learning to use them. This is not a bad comic, but for some reason it doesn’t hold my interest.

Mavelous Marvel Ladies Month (Day 8)

She received power, and thus gained the powers of her idol, Spider-Man. Mattie began posing as Spider-Man when Peter Parker was taking a break from heroics.

Mattie has slightly different powers, she has the ability to fly and after an encounter with Charlotte Witter she gained the ability to sprout four spider legs from her back. Jessica Drew and Cassandra Webb mentor her and back her up in her superheroing quest.

She’s quite a cute dork and definitely loves being a superhero, especially in the company of her mentors and hero!

My post fails to portray her many different costumes she wears, so she has a creative streak.

After her father died, the Jamesons took her in. Mattie was later drugged and exploited by her boyfriend in order to produce MGH, of which Jessica Jones rescued her. Later she hunts the dealers done and has them arrested.

Eventually the Kravenoffs kidnapped her and Cassandra Webb in order to resurrect Kraven. They slay Mattie and Cassandra, but the resurrection failed.
