Most people I know on tumblr don’t like wrestling.  I get it.  I didn’t at first, but have become a casual fan over time.  It is sort of like violent Cirque Du Soliel to me.  I love stage shows/acting.  I love looking at buff ladies.  I like people acting and dressing extra af.

AEW is the more ethical company (WWE has so many issues I could get into, but I won’t). There is a team for this company that I think even non-fans would appreciate.  Wholesome, silly, and talented.  Trust me - it has tumblr fandom energy. Let me introduce you to...

The Best Friends

Who is this group of besties?  Well, it started with two wrestlers.  Chuck Taylor and Trent Beretta.  Both of them are wrestlers who tend to compete as a tag team.  Their gimmick?  Being best friends. One of their main ongoing things is to randomly hug each other during the match (well...when not interrupted by other wrestlers).  Trent’s mom also plays a part in the gimmick.  It’s very cute.

Chuck Taylor pulled in the third member, Orange Cassidy (his real life best friend and roommate).  Orange Cassidy has become incredibly famous. The whole persona he has is of someone who doesn’t care.  His two bubbly besties, Chuck and Trent, will hug this cool Fonz-esque guy.  Three besties. 

Orange Cassidy is also incredibly talented.  Scary talented.  Say what you will about wrestling.  Is it scripted? Yes.  Does it still take intense athletic ability? If you do it right.  Orange Cassidy does it right.  Just watch this dude.  His abs must hurt like Hell (also ignore that the Best Friends dressed like Rick and Morty)

Now...I said that I like Wrestling has buff ladies.  While not the buffest woman in wrestling... Kris Statlander is still pretty great. Her gimmick before her ACL injury was to be “The Galaxy’s Greatest Alien” given that she is a science nerd. They dropped the gimmick for a more serious character, but she still plans to incorporate her own nerdiness here and there...Hopefully she can heal and eventually come back soon.

My current favorite member is Danhausen.  He could go the the typical creepy goth dude route...but he didn’t. He describes his character as “Conan O’Brian possessed by a demon”.  Dude is weird.  Like really weird.  And I love him. Even a wrestling reviewer, Jim Cornette, who hates gimmick wrestling admitted to liking Danhausen initially.  He is “Very Nice, Very Evil”.  He wrestles, puts curses on people, and does interviews with other wrestlers. He was in a tag team once with wrestler named, Hook, which people called Hookhausen...which is just...very tumblr shipping worthy.

There is also the past member Wheeler Yuta, who I don’t know as much about admittedly.  But from what I’ve seen - He is lovely.

This takes place just after S2 E3 btw. Tell me if you like it. I’ve done fan fics for other franchises but I’ve never posted them. THIS IS JUST A FIRST DRAFT! I HAVEN’T EVEN EDITED YET AND I WROTE IT A 12AM.

“So, what have we got Detective?” Lucifer said, catching up to Chloe and walking in sync with her.

“Nice of you to show up, Lucifer. The deceased is a male, twenty years old, his name is James Runford, his death is probably drug related. James was a known low-level drug dealer.”

“Boring!” Lucifer groaned, Chloe sent him a withering glare,

“For the last time Lucifer, you can’t just pick and choose cases.”

“Fine. Any leads at least?”

“Well, as I mentioned it’s probably drug related, however the family we think James was dealing under is extensive and notoriously hard to get into-”

“So, what you’re saying is that you need someone on the inside.”

“Right, but we don’t have anyone on the inside, I’ve already checked, the family and those under them are extremely loyal.”

“And what families are under them?”

“The Lansons, Ramirez’s, Keyes, Wilkonsins, and those are just the ones we’re positive about.”

Lucifer smirked, “Get ready to thank me Detective, because I have just the inside person we need, and better yet, they owe me a favor.”

“Wait, what? Who?”

“ Just a moment Detective, I’ve got a phone call to make and a murder to solve.”

“Lucifer! Wait, you can’t just-” Chloe said, in vain for Lucifer was already convincing some poor police officer to let him borrow his phone.

10 Mins later.

There was a loud rumbling sound drawing closer, a motorbike engine. As the bike pulled up to the entryway of the alley Dan and Ella looked up, Dan let out a long appreciative whistle at the sight of the classic bike,

“Nice ride.” Ella commented,

“I’m more fond of the rider myself,” Lucifer quipped, his eyes roaming over the feminine form,

“It doesn’t matter how nice they or their bike is, this is a crime scene, they can’t be here.” Chloe snapped.

A lean body clad in a leather jacket and black jeans slid off the bike and reached up to pull her helmet off. Once she had undone the straps and worked the helmet off her head a mess of wavy red hair tumbled out.

Lucifer’s mouth opened slightly,

“It can’t be,” He breathed.

The mystery rider tucked her helmet under one arm and with the other pushed the curtain of hair back to reveal a grinning face, complete with mismatched eyes.

Like... You have this cute relationship and they have a best friend in common. And this best friend isn't a third wheel bc the other two are always trying to include them.

And they even live together. And they're like really really happy about the three of them living in the same house... They even talk about having a pet (but maybe never get one bc they can't decide what animal should be) .

But like just two of them are actually dating and the third one is their best friend who loves them both equally (platonically speaking) and they love their friend (also platonically speaking)

Can that be? It isn't weird right??

So, as me and my good aro/ace friend were talking about squishing and stuff, we found ourselves wondering - is there any way to say “I ship you guys” but platonically?

We came to a realization that no, there's not, or at least not one we know about. So we may, or may not, created a term for that.

It's plant.

And planting. And person shipped platonically is plant/seedling (?). And you water the plants when you spend time with the other person. And the plant has grown when you establish strong friendship. And you are ready for harvest when you start a QPR. And the one shipping the two/or more is planter.

And I think that's beautiful.
