Test Battle Report
Tried out the Solo rules for Planet28 last night and had a blast pitting a couple derelict astartes against a pack of tech scavenger savages
System has a lot of hidden customization and tactical thought and lots of narrative.

The Tech Savages and Crazed Magi:Β
After three rounds of lasrifle and bolter fire, some Close combat broke out but so the leading two tech savages mowed down by the Heavy Bolter.
Unfortunatly for the despirte Astartes, the distraction of the charging crazed cyborg and savage woman was enough to buy the Magi time to grab the tech and munitions and flee
Game ended after round 5, a pyrrhic victory for the Tech Savages.Β

Frontier28. A Planet28 project based on scifi 15th-17th century
These are my "Trench Elves" in a playtest of a friend's skirmish rules, called 'CyberSavage.' I tried to build the team to match the minis and maybe the combos didn't match quite right so it was a loss. Fun times, regardless, mainly because I got to set up the board using club terrain and got a certain look I had been really wanting to play this game on ("laser-sorcery" so the board should look like a background painting from an episode of He-Man).
Alrighty, there's 15 gnolls done, all with pistols and hand weapons and some with tablets. A Militia Rabble for Xenos Rampant and loads of individual crew members/baddies for Stargrave. I just cannot stop sticking guns on the Frostgrave gnolls, I may have a problem. Stargrave requires a lot of minis with pistols and fortunately I have the Stargrave Crew 1 and 2 boxes to furnish them and also the datapads.
Stargrave doesn't actually have a soldier type with a "pistol+hand weapon" loadout, all the soldiers who are high tier enough to carry swords or similar also just have access to full carbines. So that leader with the chainsword is a bit out of line but don't worry about it.
"Isn't it stupid to bring a revolver to a spacegun fight?" you might ask? Just wait till she's reloaded and then you'll be sorry!
