Goblin Saboteur, who I call "Little Boomer". This is a Mantic metal mini that I had mistaken for a Star Saga mercenary but I'm pretty sure its actually a Deadzone Rebs special figure. He wears orange to make sure people see him coming, what good is stealth if you don't get credit?
One of the less amusing things about this mini is that it doesn't really have a face....like the sculptor just gave up. Or maybe it just got dropped on the factory floor. Eiter way it unfortunately only reinforces my negative opinion of Mantic's models and minis.
More minis!
A Catapult, Wolverine, and Griffin for my Capellans and a Catapult K2 for my mercs. Why the hell did I decide to include checkering as a main element of my Capellan scheme, why oh why. The K2 got the mercenaries scheme after I did some cursory research and learned it's a Kuritan design. Rambukk's Raiders spend most of their time fighting the Federated Suns on the border, and the FedSuns spend a lot of time fighting the Kuritans, so hey, that makes the K2 Double Loot! Loot 2: the Re-Lootening! Lovely stuff.
Then we've got our Eldar Spiritseer from the combat patrol. It's honestly one of my favorite Eldar models, I love the big featureless faceplate. This guy is going to be leading detachments in Xenos Rampant and possibly doing work as a Mystic type Captain in Stargrave. Hell he might even get a look in in Frostgrave and Dragon Rampant as some sort of Wizard.
Jungle Fighter Lieutenant Natasha, resin, designed by Across the Realms and produced by McGavin Miniatures. This was actually a freebie that was put into my order, so of course I painted it first before working on the other minis from my order. Across the Realms seems to specialize in Macho Women With Guns and I like that this figure is not over the top in its design, I find the combat boots with pumps amusing though.

"'Yet ere but once you ride that light, stout hearts must con that helm/For some go mad and all grow sad, for the Void can overwhelm.'
So the old ballad runs, and not without truth: for it is a strong man indeed who can gaze into the limitless dark between the stars and turn back again without the spark of Madness in his eyes. Out there, wrapped in the endless night, with nothing but the thinness of a ship's hull between you and Old Goblin Deep, out there with only the whine of the starship drive between the Whispers and ears that were never meant to leave the comfortable cradle of a planet's atmosphere...out there, in the shattered galaxy, Madness lies!"
Yet again I have been struck by "Stick Stargrave arms on Frostgrave kits disease" and here are some Space Cultists! I don't have any captains or first mates in mind for them, but you can never have enough weirdos with pistols in this game so they're certainly going to get used somewhere or other. (Lyrics from "Grounded Star Rover" by John Boyd)
Orchid Marine
She's pink, and here to save twinks
Trench Marine
I envision her as a relatively new sergeant, inspired by how fancy and ostentatious WW1 uniforms looked before everyone realized the hell of the trenches.
