These gluten-free pizza stuffed bell peppers are a healthy and delicious twist on traditional pizza flavors. They're packed with protein from ground turkey and loaded with cheesy, savory goodness. Perfect for a family dinner or meal prep!
Ingredients: 4 large bell peppers, halved and seeds removed. 1 lb ground turkey. 1 cup marinara sauce. 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese. 1/2 cup sliced black olives. 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 1 teaspoon dried oregano. 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes. Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions: Warm the oven up to 190C 375F. Cook ground turkey in a skillet over medium-low heat until it turns brown. Use a spoon to break it up into little pieces as you cook. To the pan, add minced garlic, dried oregano, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Cook for two more minutes. Add the marinara sauce and cook until everything is hot. Put the open side of the bell pepper halves in a baking dish. Put the same amount of turkey mixture into each half of the bell pepper. Shred mozzarella cheese, slice black olives, and chop fresh basil and put it on top of each stuffed pepper. Place the baking dish in a hot oven and cover it with foil. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the peppers are soft. Take off the foil and bake for another 5 to 10 minutes, until the cheese melts and the sauce bubbles. Enjoy while hot!
