I am a huge fan of tri/quad blend wraps with cashmere being one of my favorite fibers so Polaris Zen immediately intrigued me. At first impression, Zen reminded me of a peaceful morning after a fresh snowfall. The pale blue shade is calming and will compliment many skin tones. In hand, Zen has an incredible degree of softness and a very nice glide between the fingers. Overall it is definitely a luxurious and inviting wrap. I spent the week wrapping my 18 pound, 9-month-old daughter in Zen. I found passes to glide fairly easy despite the textured pattern, which helped hold my carry in place once complete. The significant diagonal stretch created a nice contoured chestpass and the moldability really felt like a cozy warm hug against my daughter and I. The softness and bounce of Zen are what makes it really shine. I found myself using Zen as a blanket in the evening so I could continue experiencing it’s coziness. One important quality to note is the breathability of Zen in high temperatures. I wore it in a multilayer carry to a Santa Monica beach on a warm day expecting to feel very hot but to my surprise, I was very comfortable! Zen has thick yarn but the weave is not very dense which allows for nice airflow. It regulated the temperature surprisingly well in the California heat. In conclusion, I thoroughly enjoyed the style and wrapping qualities of Polaris Zen. It is extremely soft and squish worthy but supportive enough for toddlers. If you like a wrap that hugs you back then this wrap is for you. It is moldable with an awesome degree of bounce. And if you live in a warm climate, don't let the wool and cashmere content scare you….Zen is surprisingly airy and comfortable in all temperatures.
