Gravity Fall has a fantastic final. Every single aspect of it hits. The characters we know coming together to fight Bill and his minions? Amazing. Stan and Ford switching clothes to trick Bill? Brilliant. All of the characters having happy endings? Great.
However, all of that aside I really want to talk about Bill's defeat because on paper that was a very hard thing to get right but they nailed it. Gravity Falls writers reallly found a way for a group of humans to defeat an immortal demon like being and made it believable.
I genuinely believe that if Bill's defeat was illogical or unbelievable he wouldn't be as impactful as he is. If he got defeated by a nonsensical reason, the audience would think Bill got robbed and his potential got wasted.
But no, that doesn't happen. Instead, we are met with a last minute switcheroo and Bill underestimating the Pine twins being his undoing. Also Stan punching him in the face?? Ugh, I love that scene.
