Here's another one of my semi-recent film exposures. While this one is a mixture of a film shot and some digital love as the black and white exposure didn't give me the range I wanted. So I took the color shot and gave it some love with the BW conversion. Cheating a little...maybe. I'm giving myself some leeway here as this was technically the first time ever shooting with my @intrepidcamera 4x5 MKII large format camera and the wind was crazy this morning!⁣⠀ ⁣⠀ Aside from all that, this area is a crazy one. Crazy textures. Crazy features. Just craziness out in the middle of nowhere. ∙ Dragon's Back ∙⠀ ⠀ Utah has some interesting features. Within a few hours you can be exploring mountains filled with wildflowers and moose and then travel down South to what seems like a barren wasteland of rock, dirt and nothingness...almost like looking out over the surface of Mars. ∙ Into the Aspen Forest ∙⠀ ⠀ Sometimes you just need to walk into the forest. I have to say that I'm always drawn to forests. Especially aspen forests in Fall. The bright white trunks. The golden yellow leaves. When you can find yourself alone in one of these forests it's an amazing experience and something to treasure. You can sit and just think and lose yourself in the moment. I don't know what it is about these forests that do that, but they are pretty cool. ⠀ ⠀ Slowly but surely I'm starting to make my way through some old images of mine and all the while stumbling across some even older images from Fall colors from many years past.
