Was made in either the 1920's or 1930's.๐ Bottom Reads: "614", "PICKARD" with Lion holding Shield, In excellent condition, no chips, cracks, repairs etc. Plus Set of 2 Wheeling Decorating Company "Roses,๐ธ๐ป Daisies & ๐Doves" DemiTasse Cups. ๐The Wheeling Decorating Company Two Demitasse/Tea cups 2-3oz from Wheeling, West Virginia, was one of the outstanding companies that decorated china, pottery and porcelain during the first half of the 20th century. The Wheeling Decorating Glass Company, which operated from 1869 to 1962,decorated glass, china, pottery and porcelain with their trademark gold leafing. The company, often referred to as WDCO, purchased blanks from companies around the world including Cambridge, Central Glass, Fenton, Fostoria, Homer Laughlin, Lenox and many more, and then decorated them with elaborate etchings and gilded designs. This gorgeous set of 2 demi-tasse is their "Roses,๐ธ๐ป Daisies &๐ Doves" pattern, circa 1920's & 1930's, which is nearly identical to the Rose & Daisy design produced by Pickard and Stouffer during this time period. The difference is that if you look closely there is a ๐ dove bird scattered here and there withing the floral design. "Wheeling - - Wheeling W Va."; There are No cracks, No chips, No repairs or wear; seldom if ever used.
