Between the anxiety and depression of my disease to the multiple (I mean 17+) prescription drugs that I take...and the inability to workout due to my failing and steady decline in my health, my weight has reached an all time high. I mean I am only about 3-4lbs. from the largest I've ever been which is right after college. This is scary and not good! My brother was setting up my new camera for my vlogs that I'm about to start recording on my health journey and after reviewing the footage, my heart sank to the bottom of my feet. I look like a beached whale! No, really a HUMONGOUS beached whale! I can't!
I keep telling my doctors that there's something wrong, because I am gaining and losing 15-20lbs. every couple of weeks. I feel and look swollen and puffy...but only a few people can tell and notice. I'm now closely tracking it to prove that there's a problem. I met a woman the other day that said she had a similar problem and it was fluid built up around her lungs and heart...they had to drain her and after that she got a lot better. Sigh... I know there's something wrong, but not sure how to fix it without the help and belief of my medical team.
I'm going to take matters into my own hands for now. I've enlisted the help of my friends and family and started a group that will support healthy weight loss and fitness. Unicorn Fit is a way to stay motivated, focused, encouraged, inspired and supported while transforming into a healthy and fit lifestyle. Through clean eating, juicing, and working out, we're determined to live the longest, healthiest life possible. I'm thankful that my friends and family are willing to take this walk with me. The reality is if something MAGICAL were to happen and I was able to get a transplant (to be shared at another time), I will need to lower my BMI, so this HAS TO HAPPEN. There aren't any more choices...no more excuses...it just has to happen. The weight has to come off. My food intake HAS to change. And, despite my inability to breathe, I have to...have to...have to exercise...even if it's a little bit at a time!
So, Team Unicorn, let's do this! Let's prove science wrong. Let's scream PHUCKTHATPROGNOSIS and PHUCKBEINGSICK and live!
