What do you think are the rules of adapting books? What should always be changed/ left out entirely/ left like it's in the source material? Which one of these rules does GoT break? Can you call it something like an interpretation then or does GoT also break the rules of interpretations?

GoT is barely related to the books, as I see it. Every plotline has delivered us the total opposite of the point from the book (with one exception, though that was still devoid of meaning), and even Martinās setting is fundamentally misunderstood and used erratically. You could call it anĀ āinterpretation,ā I guess. Itās kind of likeā¦Cersei Lannisterās interpretation of what happened maybe? Though that hardly explains Winterhell or Porne.
Idk, lol. Read Juliaās piece. GoT violates every single maxim of adaptation that she lists, thatās all that can really be said. And truthfully most of their deviations would be tolerable if the characters bore any resemblance to their book counterparts, or if any of the same themes were present. Itās always characters>plot, imo, and their ability to write these character borders on pathetic.
What do you think Aegon the Conqueror would think of all the Targaryan kings after him? What do you think he would think about Viserys or Daenerys or even Robert, Joffrey and Tommen bc they've been recently sitting on that murder chair?
Oh gosh, I am anything but a Targ expert here, especially Aegon I, LOL, but I get the sense that he would become more and more facepalm-y the further down the line he went, but at the same time heād be utterly offended to see Robertās fat black-haired ass soiling his precious throne.

Iād marry Korra in a heartbeat. Sheās probably one of the top characters in anything who Iād marry. Hopefully I donāt need to justify this.
Iād kill Katniss, not for any real reason other than that I donāt know the HG all that well. I saw her in the first movie and she seemed a little blah, though Iām sure they didnāt do her justice, so donāt yell at me for it. But like, I canāt bring myself to kill Harry, come on.
However, this does mean Iād have to fuck him. And frankly he seems like heād be quite vanilla. But I donāt care; Iām NOT passing up the opportunity to marry Korra.

What do you post about: Loads of things! This blog originally started during my Once Upon a Time phase, but right now I post primarily Marvel (specifically FitzSimmons) with my other fandoms kind of sprinkled throughout.
Other blogs: I have a travel blog from when I studied abroad, over at @adventuresincanterbury. I havenāt posted anything since I came home, though. Aaaaand now I miss Canterbury.
When did your blog reach its āpeakā (more followers, more popular post, etc): Sometime in the first half of season 2 of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. I have no idea what I did or posted at that time, but all of a sudden my blog had a lot more traffic.Ā

What made you get Tumblr: Itās so boring. Basically I started doing this Song of the Day thing for my ex-boyfriend (because he was musically illiterate). Long story short, I still wanted to do Songs of the Day after we broke up, because I thought it would be a really neat way to keep track of time (kind of like a music diary or time capsule). But I didnāt want to post them on Facebook or anything, so Gaby showed me this new website and into the garbage chute I went.
Do you get asks on a daily basis: It depends. When AoS is on the air, easily. On hiatus (like now), theyāre more infrequent. I donāt really mind either way. I love answering asks, even if sometimes it takes me a while to answer them.
What made you choose your url: Again, itās pretty boring. Just my name! :)
