So the thing I’m specifically frustrated about is the age and the concept of being an adult versus the legality.Â
Saying that they’re “old enough” to sign things doesn’t necessarily mean they’re going to be ready for this level of intensity. Or this level of scrutiny I guess? You can be told what to expect but until you experience it, you’re really not going to understand exactly what they are asking of you?Â

General confusion about...everything..and the distinct feeling of still being 17 (a whole year where I was still convinced that I was 16) Like, do you see where I’m going with this?Â
There are certainly those who aren’t really handling it well and taking the steps to take care of themselves. I just don’t think those particular scenes should have been shown/cut/edited that way.Â
As I understand it, LA valiant has had a rough time with the change in coaches but showing homesickness is one thing watching players get verbally berated is another.
Most of these players are young and new to the industry, coupled with this being the inaugural season for OWL, so really no one, not even the more seasoned players have any idea of what’s going to happen or what it’s like. I think it would have been nice to have like a mentor (hockey teams pair newer players with another player to help them settle in) but not really possible.Â
Tl;dr: Legal age doesn’t make up for experience, don’t show your harsh coaching style and then air for all to see
