I am a gay man. I am a PhD researcher at University of Cambridge, the elected President of University of Cambridge Graduate Union, and its LGBTQ+ officer. I was kicked out of my house when I was a young man, and experienced many forms of homophobic attacks. If I could make it this far, YOU can make it as well. You are just as good as anyone else, or more. Just get your ass out of your house, and get what you want. Be the person you want to be. Keep in mind that it is a journey, and it does not happen overnight. You have to work damn hard to reach your goals. It is not an easy ride. Everyday I fight for LGBTQ+ rights, and work on my PhD, and on my body, life, mental wellness and mindfulness. You have to put in the effort every day. But remember: on this journey of self-realisation, YOU ARE NOT ALONE. - - NOTE: My parents and I had a LOT of conversations and worked on our issues and relationship for many years. Now we are a very strong team, and I love them more than myself.
