I laugh, hysterically
Others eye me warily

My thesis, she's due in sixteen days
Am I stressed? Let me count the ways
This morning when I sat down to work
My reference file, it was a jerk
It said it was corrupted
Would not do as instructed
A panic it did grip me
So, so much anxiety
Crazily my heart did pound
In my head a whooshing sound
And then, a flash of inspiration
A backdoor operation
With a few keystrokes I sneakily,
Brought my references back to me!
The end of my hysteria

I return again to my submission

-submit research trip funding application by department deadline -formal approval delayed by three weeks despite being pre-approved before application -send 6000 emails begging for literally any information on delay and get almost no response -do not sleep for ten days straight from stress -trip is only confirmed five (5) days before flying -costs hundreds extra in flights and hotels -admin have audacity to ask for earlier application submission in future (it was submitted by the deadline) to allow time for discussion before approval (it was already discussed and approved) and avoid stress (i am the one stressed) -SCREAM
