NOW THAT I’M LOOKING AT STILL FRAMES I THINK THAT’S WHAT’S HAPPENING. because oscar is smiling and that makes me so happy that someone is actually trying to help oscar become more of a fighter.

      isn ‘ t  it  obvious  by  now  ?  how  steady  her  heart  beats  for  one  individual  ,  how  the  mighty  golden  dragon  went  in  a  raging  inferno  with  a  beastly  temper  to  match  &.  came  out  better  :  soft  eyes  ,  calm  breath  in  the  face  of  extreme  hardships  &.  a  mind  that  now  rarely  lingers  on  rage  ,  rage  ,  rage. all  because  of  one  elegant  flower.  yang  was  never  the  type  to  settle  down  ,  this  is  true  ;  her  entire  path  in  life  was  once  paved  crystalline  before  her  very  eyes  ,  golden  ichoric  muscle  in  chest  only  ever  thrumming  when  the  wind  would  whip  through  sunset  gossamer  on  the  back  of  bumblebee  ,  but  perhaps  a  little  tug  was  all  she  needed  to  become  grounded  ,  all  from  a  sturdy  red  thread  wrapped  ‘ round  yang  &.  ren ‘ s  little  fingers.  this  isn ‘ t  the  first  time  she ‘ s  invited  ruby  over  while  ren  is  out  &.  about.  most  would  call  it  ‘  tricking  little  sis  into  doing  chores  ‘  ,  but  yang  would  be  ever  -  swift  to  disagree  &.  call  it  sisterly  bonding.  which  it  definitely  is  ,  don ‘ t  be  silly  !   cleaning  out  reptile  enclosures  ,  sweeping  ,  dusting  ,  y ‘ know  ,  normal  sibling  activities  !  (  good  thing  she ‘ s  gonna  be  here  all  night  ,  huh  ?  )  silvery  hum  lilts  from  vocals  as  sunny  dragon  zips  around  little  red  en  route  to  lemon ‘ s  tank  ,  sing  -  song  esque  ,  mimicking  that  of  a  song  ren  had  sung  to  her  in  the  past  whilst  carefully  plopping  the  small  lizard  into  ruby ‘ s  care  for  the  time  being.  he ‘ s  a  wiggler  ,  but  xiao  long  is  certain  rose  has  had  much  ,  much  worse  of  challenges.  kinda  comes  with  deciding  to  spit  in  the  face  of  old  gods  &.  defy  their  very  teachings  ,  doesn ‘ t  it  ?   ❛  think  y ‘ can  handle  two  of  ‘ em  ?  lychee ‘ s  pretty  chill  ,  but  lemo  --   ❜

      pause.  it ‘ s  a  good  thing  yang  has  her  back  turned  ,  lest  ruby  become  witness  to  the  floret  of  vibrant  pink  spreading  across  apples  of  star  dusted  cheeks.  wildfire  can  feel  her  breath  being  ensnared  in  the  back  of  throat  ,  hear  heartbeat  pounding  away  in  confines  of  chest  as  psyche  barely  processes  what  ruby  just  blurted  out.  it ‘ s  like  her  lungs  are  being  strangled  of  their  air  in  some  hidden  lovesick  fit.   ❛  where ‘ d  that  come  from  ?   ❜  cough.  yang ‘ s  clearing  throat  ,  thinking  of  the  right  words  to  say  to  avoid  coming  off  as  some  cheesy  romantic.  (  that ‘ s  ren ‘ s  job  !  )  the  idea  of  being  tethered  to  another  never  sat  well  with  her.  in  the  past  ,  fleeting  heat  on  sheets  &.  a  name  lost  to  time  was  more  than  enough  affection  to  get  her  by  ,  satisfy  that  momentary  craving  for  touch  that  left  faster  than  it  crept  ,  but  ren . . .  there ‘ s  something  different  about  them  ,  something  she  may  never  be  able  to  place  no  matter  how  hard  she  tried  ,  but  what ‘ s  certain  is  how  yang ‘ s  love  &.  complete  adoration  for  them  spills  over  in  abundance.  rain  &.  fire  never  mixed  well  ,  but  they  manage  to  make  it  work  in  perfect  unison.   ❛  i  don ‘ t  think  marriage  is  really  our  thing  ,  rubes.  ❜  she  says  ,  lavender  hue  casting  gaze  to  crimson  tattoo  etched  into  ring  finger.  that  carries  more  weight  than  any  ring  could  ever  hope.  it ‘ s  a  vow  all  on  its  own.   ❛  but  y ‘ know  when  you ‘ ve  just  found  the  one  ?   that  special  person  who  makes  your  whole  body  feel  like  static  whenever  they ‘ re  around  ?  ❜   how  completely  &.  utterly  cheesy  ,  xiao  long.   ❛  i  know  --  that  i  want  ren  in  my  life  as  long  as  possible.  an  overrated  ceremony  isn ‘ t  gonna  change  that.    ❜
