It's Hiro's turn to be first party member to awaken! And uh... boy is he having a rough time with it. The will is there, the desire is there, so what's the hold up?

here are a few unedited lines from the unnamed Persona 5R Akechi x Akira/Ren fic i’m plotting and writing:

“Even in dreams,” Akechi laments, gloved hand sliding down his face, peering at Akira through splayed fingers, “I can’t escape you.”

Akira leans against the desk Akechi sits at, gaze cast down under long lashes that blink owlishly through his wide rimmed glasses. He say nothing, but his lips pull into one of those infuriating half smiles. 

“Is this some kind of sick, self-inflicted torture my mind has come up with?” Akechi continues, dropping his chin into his palm as he stares up at Akira. He laughs, albeit a bit darkly.  “And here I thought you were the masochistic one.”

Akira suddenly reaches out and twists Akechi’s tie around his hand, pulling him forward, and says, “Pretty sure I still am.”

(don’t know if i’ll keep it in present tense, I usually only write in past tense but this is how it flowed naturally so I went with it for now)

It was actually a Persona 5 reference, and specifically these two characters:

Ryuji Sakamoto and the protagonist (who I always call Akira Kurusu, because personal preference). The “No Mo’ Rules” thing is printed on Ryuji’s default summer outfit.
